No he did not. | OK, so he didn't say the exact word. Is that how miniscule you want to analyze the issue? Or are we going to listen to what he's really saying?
Sweating the small stuff, as usual...

Cheney saying the information provided by George Tenet "turned out not to be true" is obviously not the same thing as calling him a liar. | If Saddam Hussein was discussing weapons of mass destruction and mentioned al-qaeda and other terrorists organizations in chatter...there is a process of analysis to determine what the meaning of the conversation is and what consequences could come out of it. There were reports from the CIA that pointed to Hussein possibly having or attempting to acquire WMD's. There were also reports that pushed back on the Bush Administration requesting more intel in that direction and found that Hussein wasn't an imminent security threat. Some intel was better than others. But to say that Cheney called the CIA liars? Inacurrate. Quote: |
The CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies fell victim to false “group think” when assessing Iraq’s weapons capabilities and produced overstated or incorrect conclusions that led the Bush administration to justify the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, according to a scathing Senate Intelligence Committee report released Friday.

Wow. Who would have known that this thread would have been reduced to an attack on synonymic wordplay? No wonder people see American Politics as a joke.

Is it just me, or does it seem Dick has more shit to say now, since the election, than he has in his entire eight years as vp?
I mean, I know of the health problems, the security issues during the first term, and that he's considered possibly the most influential vp in history, but lately every time one looks up it's Cheney. wtf??

Doesn't everyone already know that the purpose of invading Iraq was for a regime change? Even Cheney himself said (a few years ago) the best option for Iraq is an America friendly dictator. It wasn't for WMDs, it wasn't because Hussein had so many people murdered, and it wasn't to spread democracy. It was because we needed another oil-rich ally in the middle east, period. This plan has been in place for decades. W was trying to do what his father couldn't, and if you can't see that, you must have your head entirely too far up your own ass.

I don't care if Cheney called anyone a liar. Cheney himself is the biggest liar around. He lied about all kinds of stuff in his desperation to justify our intervention in the Middle East. Now he's compounding his lies by lying about the lies he previously told, in a ridiculous attempt to whitewash his pack of lies.
I obviously can't see into his heart, but all the evidence indicates he's just evil.

I agree.

Terrorists have no rights under the U.S. Constitution. See Sections 8 and 9. The 5th Amendment gets trumped.

"America friendly dictator"???
seems to me I recall Don Rumsfeld was sucking Saddam's cock back in the Reagan / Bush I administrations.
