| Forget Pelosi - Dick Cheney calls CIA liars
In a speech before the National Press Club today Dick Cheney claims (suddenly and completely contradicting everything he's ever said about Iraq for the past 6 1/2 years) he never believed there was a link between Saddam Hussein and Al Queda or that Iraq had WMD and that any such claims and justifications were the fault of George Tenet, former CIA Director, who, according to Cheney, combined various bits of inaccurate intelligence in his reports to the White House and Congress.

...Cheney also defended the Bush administration's decision to invade Iraq in 2003, despite faulty intelligence about its nuclear weapons program and links to the Sept. 11 attacks. He asserted that Saddam Hussein could have helped terrorists acquire nuclear weapons. Once the U.S. invaded, it could find no evidence of an active Iraqi nuclear weapons program.
On Monday, Cheney disavowed intelligence reports he once cited suggesting that Hussein had collaborated with Al Qaeda on Sept. 11...
...The information "turned out not to be true," Cheney said; citing 2002 Senate testimony by George J. Tenet, then the CIA director...
...On whether Hussein helped Al Qaeda carry out the 2001 terrorist attacks, Cheney said, "I do not believe, and I have never seen any evidence, that he was involved in 9/11."

Terrorists have no rights under the U.S. Constitution. See Sections 8 and 9. The 5th Amendment gets trumped.

So, are we in denial that Cheney did believe at one time there was a link between Saddam and 9/11? Or are you saying that he didn't say the actual word "liar" in his statement which went against 6 1/2 years of falsehoods and inaccurate assumptions? Please elaborate, because to most people that still constitutes as a lie.

Caught me. Clearly I'm not of a sound mind. I used the word "liar" in the title of this thread.
Cheney saying the information provided by George Tenet "turned out not to be true" is obviously not the same thing as calling him a liar.
