I'd err far more on the fact that he's more confident, relaxed and having a good time at the strip club. Maybe he's just got a 'to-die-for' smile and he smiles more there than anywhere! Maybe he's one of the hotter members of the strip club where as is more of an average-joe at work...

In fairness I said many, not all women. And yes, many women do look to improve their lot when they hook up with a man. That is not doing women a disservice. The same is true of men. Why would people bother with relationships or marriage (or even casual sex) if they are not going to be better off/get something out of it?
I don't know of anyone who knowingly enters into an arrangement knowing they are going to be worse off!
There is nothing wrong with stripping but not every stripper does that job because they want to. Some do it because they have no choice and given the opportunity, they would jump at the chance to be doing something else. Putting Meaty's luck with these women down to confidence (and everything that stems from that) might be more palatable to you but to imagine that some people out there are not self-serving or to rule it out completely as a possibility is not living in the real world or accepting reality! Some people have a more developed sense of helping themselves and that is fine. There is nothing wrong with being self-serving. It is what makes humans survivors.
