Rae has had his Damascene moment. He sees the folly of the socialist agenda now. He's basically a very moderately left-of-centre politico now, imo. He's probably just about dead centre in the Liberal Party. And he has a practical sense that Ignatieff -- his peer or even, in a sense or two, his marginal superior -- just doesn't have. I would take either, but the one who will do best electorally, in my very provisional judgment, is Rae. |
