Let's hope that it's the latter. These are uncharted waters. She opens pariament; she can also close it. I really don't think that Harper will increase his support if Michaëlle Jean closes it for a while. PR is not his strength, as we learned during the last election. I think, if anything, he'll attempt legal measures to block the coalition.
