depends on what type you use, it will widen you on insertion, but most then taper back. like most devices meant for a man's ass, the goal is prostate stimulation. i, for one, would not want to go thru an entire day with one up my butt.

No one needs to have it in for the whole day, 'cause regular use in a couple or more "sessions" a week will do the stretching you need. Try just going to the corner store for a quick trip first to see... I doubt you could go that long with one in at first. It's for while you are having sex/jacking off. It massages your prostate and just feels good. Don't go too big at first either. You go bigger later. It can also be used as a control device by someone who wants to control you. From my experience walking around could be difficult even with something small. I recall when I first tried a small one, I got up to stand and it "popped" out...with a surprising force if I recall correctly. And it was tapered.

The stretching is expected but the farting is not. Depends on your diet. For a few hours afterwards you won't be able to hold your sphincter tightly closed, so you won't hold things in such as farts. You'll be back to normal by next morning usually.
