The reasons for my name are pretty obvious - I'm a sub and I'm female. I like my name to reflect who I am and to be something I'm comfortable with.

Originally Posted by pomaz59 my nickname sucks. i wasn't really giving it a thought the time i registered here on LPSG, just took some letters of cities/places i've visited (and liked) and added two random numbers to the whole thing.
now, i can say the number thing was quite stupid, because if i would read this in somebody's nick, i would think he is either 59 years old or he was born in 1959 or in general he wants to say something with it (but what???)
so i'm considering to change my nickname, but first i have to come up with something cool.
...so my questions:
What do you think, what makes a good nickname?
Should it have a meaning, a reference to something? Should it be only cool sounding? Should it imply something nasty?
and how did you come up with your nickname? is there a fun story behind it?
thoughts are welcome | Words or titles relating to your interests and/or professions in other languages are quite cool and offbeat. Like the Japanese, and all-too-relative sobriquet 'ChinChinGaAi'. Stuff like that.

my name is one I use in other areas as well... It doesn't really suit me for I am not "fancy" at all. More tongue in cheek than anything else.
I really like simple things.....but the fancy pants is more of an attitude than anything else.
I have seen some cool names here that were taken from song titles, band names (twisted a bit), and lyrics. What are your interests? You can take your initials and use them some way... just pen a few things down, brainstorm alone, no holds barred and dump your mind.... then see what you can come up with. I've seen some very creative uses of combining interests/locale with sexual terms. (I love nudeyorker's name....and several others.)

I was just trying to finally put
those Latin classes to some use.
That name was fitting for me and
seemed relevent to this site.
