Masturbating with a friend isn't that much different than coming here, posting pictures of your penis and worship other guys dicks, not only that but it will probably lead to discussions about size, positions, likes... it's similar to what you might do here, so ultimately you'll go down a horrible path and your friendship will end because you're freaky or you'll have a buddy or someone you'll be much closer to, sexuality is meant to be explored, and there's a rush when you're doing it with someone else. I think it's better when two or more dudes are younger, but it's always good and fun to talk about sex regardless of how much clothes you got on.

I jacked off with a few friends in high school, 2 were bi and 2 were straight. None of us looked at it as a gay. We did it while watching porn or looking at porn mags. The straight ones never were part of it when myself and the other 2 bi guys would beat each other off. When we beat each other off it was a gay thing, but not when just doing it to yourself with friends.

For some straight guys, yes it does. There are a lot of sexual activities that seem "gay" to straight guys when they're masturbating together: looking at the other guy's dick too much, talking too much or making too much noise, getting off too sensually (like really getting into it with lube, etc.) anyone touching anyone else in any way, shooting your cum on the other guy's body, getting completely naked. Those are just a few things that should be avoided. I realize these seem silly, but it's just a way that straight guys can keep their straight illusions intact.

The boundaries of sexual behavior and orientation are, however arbitrary, a decent reference. Exclusively heterosexual guys would probably say that two dudes doing anything involving their dicks around each other is gay, and they might beat you up if you asked them to consider it. Guys who aren't 100% straight but close would probably be cool with it just as long as it's clear what's allowed -- touching, not touching, whatever. And the closer you get toward the gay end of the spectrum, (I'm assuming) the more likely it is that this jacking thing doesn't even register as such.

And this, of course, assumes that this behavior is consensual and not coerced or forced (unlike, say, jailtime sexual behavior).

Whichever way you swing, if you're going to do something like this, make sure you both know what's cool and what's not cool. I have jacked with my buddies when I was a teenager, and I've jacked with a few people as an adult. As long as it doesn't go past that, I'm fine, and I still feel well-adjusted and relatively straight.
