25 speak for 45,000!!!!!!

My recent experiences in the forum caused me to wonder how the 25 or so people who repeatedly tell me their opinions represent "EVERYONE" might possibly speak for the entire membership.
Much as I expected to find, less than 1% of the more rabid pack of jackals claims to represent the views and opinions of the entire membership. They don't.
This also confirms my earlier claims that what actually takes place is that one of said pack pounces on a victim and the rest of the pack now has cover so they jump in to add their "AMEN" to the thread.
For the record I label myself as the victim only for purposes of illustration. I certainly don't feel victimized. I'm a big boy and I willingly put myself into the fray. Even when people call me "twat" and other silly names I don't feel the need to run to the folks who police the forum to punish someone who hurt my wittle fweelings.
Obviously the pack keeps many timid members from adding their words of support because they don't want to be ripped to shreds, too. It is similar to how people "don't want to get involved" when they see someone being attacked on the street.
If you doubt my claims take a look at how many people view a thread as opposed to how many actually post. The more vicious the brawl in the thread the lower the percentage of those who participate vs those who post.
Therefore, until you can prove that you have polled the entire membership and received a 100% backing of your claim please be honest and stop claiming to know the opinions of "everyone".

How about a list of those 25 people, arklebarkle? Would you be so kind as to put it up in writing for all to see? It would help me a lot if you would show me where any or all of that group say that they speak for everyone.

My opinion is that nobody here speaks for anyone but himself or herself so I'll agree that those 25 don't speak for the 45,000. But do you claim to?

Dang went through every thread / post and came up with 25 people, amazing. And do 45,000 actually post in the forum or a percentage, just asking for clarification.
Anyway, I have people that have disagreed with my opinions and I have disagreed with theirs. Sometimes to the point of the rediculous. At first I was hesitant to post because of what might be said but I determined that I had as much a right to speak as anyone. The forum is not a pefect world but there are rules in place to govern it as best as possible. Should members personally attack others hell no and if they do they should be reported.
With that said lets all hold hands around the LPSG campfire and sing a song. Or have the lady members shake their boobies with joy...

I think the farmbear has a point, which is the use of Amen, +1, , what she/he said etc has grown to the point, IMO, that it could be seen as pack behaviour and intimidating. I appreciate that people are bonding, and clearly that is important to some, but I can also see how it leads to this feeling of those outside that there are strong packs or cliques.

I don't think that the site is better for it.
