I think having it so accessible is not a good idea...people will misuse it or it will encourage less safer sex. It really fucks with your body/hormones for about 72hrs I've heard?

And how will they be sure that ppl accessing it are over 18? ppl could easily stock up on a few and give them to underage girls too.
I have not encountered any evidence that suggests less restricted acces to Plan B has encouraged a retreat from safer sex practices. In fact, I have used it twice, both times after a condom failure issue, one dose free and the other was $65 - the next time I had sex we used condoms as usual.

Like any HBC method it can wreak havoc on cycle, moods, body. Other than a delayed period the first time, I experienced really mild symptoms (nausea and tiredness).

Shippensburg is my alma mater and I am proud they are taking this step. But it is a conservative area and there will be protests. The political description of Pennsylvania is, Philly on the east, Pittsburgh on the west, and Alabama in between. Shippensburg is in the middle.

So?

(BTW - according to a quick google the age of consent in PA is 16.)

I don't need to fight to prove I'm right.
I don't need to be forgiven.

I've gotten the morning after pill here in Queensland without a script.
I just walked into the chemist and quietly explained the situation and I got it without any drama.

Double Tap.

ya know.. if an underage girl isn't mature enough to use Plan B i don't think she's got the chops to raise a kid.

for true.... i have fire extinguishers in my house.. and i have no history of starting fires.

That blows if you need a prescription to get the morning-after pill.

I had a scare once when a condom broke. I just thought I was having the best sex of our relationship with a long-term GF, pull out after I cum and am greeted by a rubber ring half way down my shaft.

Numerous web searches, a chat with an experienced friend, three hours and $25 later and we had the morning-after pill in hand.

How did she handle it? She was fine, actually. No major impact on her and no pregnancy.

Does that mean the next time we just said "fuck it" to condoms and went to get another morning after pill? Hell no. First off--$25 a pop. Secondly, who wants to take "the abortion pill" as a regular contraceptive?

What stuns me is people act like this is a big deal, but just shrug at the thought of teens buying viagra and going on fuck-fests with each other. It happens, and that's not even over-the-counter. Shit, if plan B were such a great thing to be taking all the time, don't you think kids would be taking it whether it's legal or not?

I don't think that means what you think it means.

Plan B isn't the abortion bill.. cuz it won't terminate a pregnancy.
is a mega-dose of a hormone called levonorgestrel.
reduces the chances of the egg being fertilized.
and if the egg is fertilized Plan B keeps it from implanting in the uterine lining.

That's why "the abortion pill" was in double quotes (because it's not really an abortion pill).

See my signature for more on this and other misunderstandings.

I don't think that means what you think it means.

i got the double quotes... just threw the lil info blurb out there for the folks who don't know the difference.

working with outreach programs i run into heaps of folks who think handing out condoms is the same as forcing young peoples to get naked, and that birth control pills are the same as the abortion pill.

urm.. maybe my new sig should say something like i am not as dumb as ya think
*is a general non-specifying ya*

I've never even heard of this.

Penis length doesn't really matter. What does matter is; Length times diameter plus weight over girth divided by angle of the tip squared. When talking about penis size, we can't just use a tape measure. We need a scale and a protractor.

They made it OTC a few years ago. I believe that applies to all states, although I'm not 100% sure. It's definitely OTC in NSW.

I've taken it a few times because I wasn't allowed to take hormonal contraception and the condom broke. (I preferred risking taking a hormonal MAP over risking getting pregnant while on warfarin.)

My experience of it was fine with no fucking of body or hormones.

Saying that it encourages less safe sex is kinda silly IMO. It's all too similar an argument to the one that says 'If we encourage condom use, it encourages people to have sex'.

How many girls do/did you know who used the law as a guide to when they should start having sex?
