| | Man Law 101 on Massages?
First post here folks...
So I have a jacked up lower back (L5), work out alot, do Krav Maga and also training for Tuff Mudder. Recently started getting massages on the reg and have def seen good results. Can run longer before back tightens up etc..
The thing is, I've gotten massages from both females and dudes and 8 times outta 10 I get better results from a dude because I always get Deep Tissue and they are strong enough to deal with my muscle. Regardless of who is rubbing me down I get hard but I'm usually back down before they flip me on my back so no issues right?
Well, got a massage from a new dude yesterday (i go to Massage Envy) and from the minute this dude went to work it was on...lol. The dude accidently brushed my hand against his junk when he was moving it, and against my elbows anytime he was leaning across me (I'm thinking,he can't feel my arm cause my are can feel his junk!), dimmed the lights half way into the massage... I never really had any one work my glutes before so that caught me off guard but the shit felt GOOD..lol. My dick was singing...lol. I always wear boxer briefs and it seem like they were in the way because the dude only went as far as the top of my glutes.
By the time he had me flip over, i was rock and embarrassed like shit and stickin right through the sheet with my briefs on. I didn't say anything and neither did he. Then dude stretched me out...the sheet fell to the side...and literally had my legs in the air in all kinds of positions while my dick was throbbing. Talk about being in a vulnerable position!
Im thinking, is this standard practice? Im I overeacting? Dont get me wrong, I was def loose aftewards but I've never had it like that before. I don't know...
What do you think?

I've gotten only a few massages (interestingly enough they have all been women) and each time there is something a little different. Depending on the muscles they deem necessary to "work", they have quite a bit of different things they can do to loosen that muscle.
It seems with this guy, he found your glutes to need a little more work. Without knowing exactly what he did, it seems he was using different stretches to help loosen the glutes - hopefully with good results.
Getting hard, I hear, isn't uncommon. I personally have never gotten rock hard during a massage, but that's not to say it won't ever happen - I guess I've been lucky so far. But I think since you didn't say anything (out of embarrassment), he didn't need to say anything. I'm sure they have this happen more often than not. So he just continued to do his job - which was to loosen up those muscles they he felt he could do them best and get the best results.
So in conclusion, I don't think anything was out of the ordinary. But then again, I could be 100% wrong.

Yeah, different people tend to do different things to loosen you up. One of my straight friend and I have given each other massages and never minded working each others glutes.
Some times I can get an erection through massages, some times not. But it's not uncommon at all to get one.

Ok. I def felt awkward after the fact but he seemed kewl. I just wasn't sure if all the crotch contact was part of the territory or if it was just me. Either way, i'm think I'm gonna stick with dude...I just wanted some input before I booked another appointment...lol. Do you fellas usually go nude or wear briefs? Don't know if I would be that comfortable but seems standard....

Why worry? You enjoyed the massage and that's all that counts. Go back and do it again - and ask him if it's ok to be nude and see what happens.

Seems all pretty normal to me. Sometimes the masseur does lean into you for deep tissue and his body will brush against yours. They dim the lights for your eyes when you are on your back.
If you aren't shy you get a better massage when you go nude because the masseur isn't wasting time draping and undraping and isn't encumbered by a sheet or boxer shorts to work on your body. I always go nude.

I am a sports massage therapist - here are few comments..... a) Massage to the glutes is perfectly standard, at least the upper part of the glutes anyway. I include this area for 90% of my clients (male or female). The rest of the glutes is usually not inlcuded, except if the "piriformis" muscle needs treatment, whcih can been done by applying pressure through the towel and/or clothing to the centre of the buttock. b) In sports massage it is very normal to include stretches for tight muscles and that can involve moving your body and legs into all sorts of positions. c) To apply deep pressure you must stand very close to the bed, in fact touching it. Sometimes this might mean you accidentally press an area of your body against theirs. When you massage a lot of people you may get used to this and not notice so much. However, I'd be surprised if he regularly pressed his "junk" against your hand or arm etc without realise this (even in dim lights). d) Here in the UK it is quite unusual for massage clients to go naked. Most wear underwear. However, I think in the USA (and other European countries) it is much more normal for massage clients to be naked. e) I have rarely had a client get a noticable hard-on. Maybe when they are face down and I cant see. Not that I would have any objection :-)

It allows them to get where they need to unhindered.

My regular RMT will frequently turn me on my side to stretch out my (I presume) hip flexors, quads, calves etc. Some of my body parts will be pressed against her breasts in the process, and I'll sometimes feel somewhat exposed in other positions. All that is fine with me; I'd rather get treated properly as opposed to avoiding contact and maybe getting a less effective massage.

I always go nude in massages - had quite a few and depending on the masseur - and how close they get to your zone I have gotten a boner. No biggie - just happens.

Wow, you've had several massages and this was the first time someone worked the glutes? Dude, take those boxers off and tell him you want a lot of work on the low back, glutes, and hammys. Get some craniosacral for the L5. If you can't get that, bring that muscle ass to my table hey hey I can bring it

I have 2 I can think of where the line between pain and pleasure became so blurred, all I could think about was not taping out. My pride wouldn't let me do it but I was def sore for a day or two.
