Yah it is harder for Celebs...but still...it's the same ol' stigma for normal closeted guys. | OC..I do agree that it's not right to assume that your masseur is also willing to engage in sexual acts. A man should be able to perform massages without feeling like he "owes" the guy more.
What I find to be sad is that men, famous or not have to hide their sexuality to the point of having sex in back alleys or in bathrooms or worse, meeting a guy online and having sex in the home of someone you don't know. Its' not safe and I'm sure it doesnt feel great to have to be on the down low.
I think in 2012 we should be able to accept that ANYONE is gay, celebrity or otherwise and let them be gay in broad daylight with no shame. It really annoys me that people like to tell other people how to live their lives. If society wasn't so judgmental guys like John Travolta would just be able to be gay/bi whatever and not worry about never working in Hollywood again.

If all the females feel like they have no shot at them, it might have some effect there. Gay guys figure to have a shot at them regardless (joking ).

Yes, I grew up seeing John in Saturday night fever. To tell you the truth, I was a little disappointed that he didn't have a much larger bulge in that white suit and when he was in his black underwear!! LOL! But he was pretty hot, course I was a young boy and the disappointment in the lack of a bulge came much later when I saw reruns. But so what if he is gay, or bi, or tri. He paid $800 for the massage and that tells me that it was reasonable to expect more than just a massage. Also, for that amount he should have gotten everything repeatedly!

Maybe the masseur was assaulted and sexually battered with John's Saturday Night Phallus?
I'm joking...I hope!

La Travolta was in a Carol Channing musical way back in his Broadway days. The gay icon (who hypocritically dissed gays but was long-time married to a man widely believed to be closeted) said when asked about him: "John Travolta? He was that nice young man that slept with all the other nice young men in the chorus". Jealous much Carol?
Also, my boyfriend at the time in N.Y.C who was once a room service dude at a swanky hotel told me he was once sent to Travoltas room and was aggressively propositioned by John, who backed him up roughly against a wall demanding sex. He refused and John was not happy. Of course all I have is his word, but I believed him. I've got a few stories of my own to tell about my encounters with celebrities. I almost never talk about them because most people just think you're a conceited liar, but if you lived in places like N.Y.C. or L.A. you'd understand that anythings not only possible-- it's probable!!!

TMZ caught the plaintiff's attorney on a street corner in Glendale for an interview. Lawyer for John Travolta Accusers -- More Masseurs Will Sue | TMZ.com
Up to 100 people in various states, including the staff and management of elite resorts that John Travolta has been permanently banned from, are set to supply sworn statements as to Mr. Travolta's behavior. This doesn't look good for The Pilot.
I am so ambivalent about Travolta. On one hand he's gone through pain and sadness in his life with the loss of his son, but why is he so reckless with his gay sex life as to essentially pay for a string of male prostitutes at top resorts? Here is a major star getting $20 million per film and at the same time his actions have gotten him thrown out of everywhere from the Ritz Carlton- Lagua Niguel to the Inn at Spanish Bay up at Pebble Beach.

Hmm, I'm kind of on both sides of the fence on this one
On one hand, I completely agree with Seaside (and she once again confirms what an awesome person she really is ) that if society didn't try force people to remain closeted, everyone including the famous, could be free to be themselves, completely.
However, the more info that is coming out, combined with the knowledge that I have (remember, I'm super close to Pebble Beach and know lots of folks in the hotel/resort business), the more I'm not really feeling sorry for what is transpiring. I've always kept quiet about what I knew about him because I believe that everyone deserves their privacy. However, let me point out that I NEVER was aware of any "innapropriate aggression" until now. Just basically that guys knew what to expect, and usually the ones that were ok with it took the "job".
He's actually giving the opposition more fuel for their attacks | Freud - to constrain sexual drives to socially accepted "norms" is something that we "learn." Why is it so important to you whether someone calls themselves straight or not (unless they choose to berate gays) I Love him 100%, and his 50% belongs to me It takes more love to share my saddle than it does to share my bed

Yah it is harder for Celebs...but still...it's the same ol' stigma for normal closeted guys. | Oh, God...I wasn't a masseur and I have been cruised by a LOT of married dudes. THAT is a sad situation to be in. Especially when I was coming out...and the worst thing a gay guy could do is get touchy-feely with some straight dude and end up getting punched out.
Man, when a married dude gets flirty...I don't even bother them fucking guys. | |

Does anyone think that what he is alleged to have done is worth $2.4 Million in damages?
For me, these claims make the system ridiculous.

well now that more people are involved...it's a class action venture I'm sure. 2.4 million to him is NOTHING. The man has multiple airplanes and mini airport on his own property! lol Quote:
