S.F. is really coldest in the summer months with the fog but it's a mild marine climate. Great place to live. Mellow attitude, great food, pretty girls and guys of all nationalities, beautiful weather and beaches as well as close proximity to the majestic California redwoods and parks. It's really one of the best places on the planet, hence the high cost of living.
People who know me seem to treat me like I'm cooler now that I'm moving to SF. Moving in 11 days

I've visited San Francisco and left my heart there. I envy you for making such a move.

Blessings and peace.

I try to see the charms in every place, just like one cannot deny that there are downsides to every place as well.

I enjoy speaking French daily in society, so Montreal is second-rate if I cannot be France. SF loses big-time from this perspective (NYC is closer to Quebec).

I want away from rednecks/religious folks/uncouth people.

And you thought you had a big johnson!
