Soft, sexy voice = hot girl?

I apologize for re-hashing a topic that may have been beaten to a bloody pulp... but I did a search and didn't find much. Anyway, after reading the "non sexual body parts that turn you on" thread, I saw one of the more recent replies to be "a sexy, soft voice". That got me thinking - do you think it's possible to gauge whether or not a woman is attractive by the sound of her voice? I'm on the phone a lot at work and I've talked to a lot of women, a lot of whom have come into my office that I've met personally. There are have been many times where I've hung up the phone with a woman with THAT type of voice, and I've said to myself, "wow, she really does sound hot". The vast majority of the time, I've found that a woman with that type of really sulty, soft, sex kitten-type voice is, in fact, extremely sexy.

From a slightly different perspective, I've approached women at bars and clubs, etc. who are extremely good-looking, and the vast majority of them also have had that type of incredibly sexy voice that I've only found in women who are amazingly attractive. As a matter of fact, the most beautiful women I've heard speak have also had the sexiest voices I've ever heard. How does this happen? Maybe it's just my imagination. Have they acquired this voice due to years and years of men fawning over them??

I think its ome of those animal instinct type things programmed in men. Much like when animals call out to attract a suitable mate. Almost every woman ive heard with a voice like that does turn out to be extremely hot. I bet dolfette has a voice like that. If a woman turns out to be a tad out the weight preference theres a very good chance at one point she was fuckin smokin hot.

Pitch is supposed to be an indicator of fertility. Women with higher pitched voices are supposed to have higher estrogen levels, and within the same woman, the closer she is to ovulating, the greater the pitch of her voice. Men also supposedly rate the wimmenz as more attractive when only hearing their voices near ovulation, as opposed to other parts of the cycle.

Fuck yeah, discovery channel knowledge to the rescue! (if not a bit tangential)

I find that men prefer my voice when I drop it by a few octaves.

Maybe you sound more assertive? Badass? Something else? It might be that a higher pitch is more attractive in an all things equal perspective, but whatever you're doing when you lower your voice more than offsets the effect.

Personally, I really like women who have that "spent the whole previous night out partying and shouting" sort of voice. That semi-low, gravelly, but distinctively feminine tone is just haaawwwesome.

Enid does indeed have a lovely voice.

Soft sexy voices are nice, but I also like husky "I smoke way too many cigarettes" voices.
