Well that was spooky...name a spooky event

I checked my messages here a little earlier and one of them related to a post from some months back where I mentioned a cousin. I haven't talked with him in at least 5 years

is part of a discussion in the Et Cetera, Et Cetera forum that includes topics on Off-topic postings, current events, rants and raves....

Well that was spooky...name a spooky event

I checked my messages here a little earlier and one of them related to a post from some months back where I mentioned a cousin. I haven't talked with him in at least 5 years and when I made the post (member Fleur was looking for a unicorn or something) I didn't even really know where he was these days, I made the post based on where he had been living the last I knew. He lived there for more than 20 years it seemed likely he was still living near the train station.

Sure enough he called up just now. He left a message on my voicemail which i replayed 4 times.

So has this happened to you where you mention someone and then out of nowhere they call or show up?

Well he is my cousin and I haven't changed my phone number for several years. Even my cell number goes back about 10 years.
If that didn't do it, my land line phones are listed and I have a fairly unusual last name.

I had a friend who lived in a haunted house. I never saw or heard anything myself, but way too many others did, including people who were never told about the hauntings beforehand. I kind of want to believe it, just for fun.

I have to preface to say that I believe in the paranormal and have had strange things happen to myself and my family when I was younger and still experience strange, spooky things every now and then. One is mentioned below.

Friends of mine own a home where a child supposedly died many decades ago. Once, when a group of us were over and the talk turned to ghosts etc, someone said. "If there's anyone here, make a loud sound". A few seconds passed with silence and then the same person said something mockingly like "See, I told you there was no one..." and then there was a loud bang behind one of the walls. (You could tell it wasn't from anyone present because we were all gathered together.) Another time when I was staying overnight, the blankets kept pulling up from my feet. Even though I do toss and turn in my sleep, it was unusual because the blankets appeared to be folded up neatly. Early in the morning during the time, I thought I saw a shadow run across the room toward the bed and seconds later, it felt as if someone was gently tickling my feet. When I mentioned it to one of my friends the next morning, they just dismissed it by saying "Yeah, that happens a lot".
