Individuals like that hurt many people throughout their lives, no doubt as a result of a skewed sense of personal power (that is, that causing pain is evidence of their strength). But they will inevitably get what comes to them in the end. | Sometimes they don't.

I moved around quite a bit as a child and experienced being "the new girl" many times growing up. I experienced both welcoming friends and mean girls who thought themselves better than me. I've never seen myself as a beauty (avearage at best), and I was raised to believe that no one person is better (or worse) than anyone else, and to believe in/be true to myself.
I've seen the girls in action (even adult women) and have felt sorry for them... even when the factor behind such behavior is "over confidence" and having such a judgmental disposition. It's truly a shame, in my opinion. But I just wondered what others (men in particular) think of such persons.

I like classy girls, not mean girls. Classy girls don't waste time and effort by picking fights with others. I also believe that people who like to agitate others are in some way very unhappy about themselves, and they try to project their fears, frustrations and insecurities onto others by treating them badly.

I have to point out that my mean girl wasn't mean to everyone, even though I thought she was a crazy mean bitch to me for an entire year and I didn't know why because I never spoke to her or did anything to her. She was mean to me because she thought I deserved it, and I finally found out why at the end of the year when she finally said something crazy to me that made all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place (which is why I'm certain that she'll make a terrible judge), but she didn't think everyone deserved being mean to. I've known very few people whom I think were mean to everyone. I'm sure that the people she was nice to had no idea what it was like to be on her bad side. One person's mean girl is another person's friend.
I'm just saying that pegging someone as a "mean girl" isn't a title that would probably be used by everyone universally. That one person who kept trying to pick on me when I was new here? A lot of people I was friends with went out of their way to explain why they were also friends with her and how great she is to them. My mean girl wasn't their mean girl.

i'm attracted to different women for different reasons and in different contexts. as in, if it's just spank bank material, i could care less about your personality; if you're a friend, i don't enjoy being around anyone who is a dick to other people but will tolerate a modicum of it depending on how much we hang out; if you're my 'significant other', i'm going to want to be with and around you a ton obviously and if you're a dick, that just won't fly. the only reason i didn't check the "i like nice girls" option is that i don't like the stereotype of a "nice girl" (being a doormat or not having any edge at all). self-confident, independent, funny, sexy (physically) and SEXY (mentally) is the girl for me.

I hate hate hate mean girls!!!! This whole trend of girls fighting and finger wagging (oh no you di'int) and all of that crap makes me absolutely sick. I hate the fact that "reality" shows now have to feature at least one nasty girl who wants to fight everybody. Even the trashy housewives of whatever county have to get in FIST fights! Hello!! What the heck has happened to our society. I believe in equality for women but that doesnt mean turn into a bitch and try to fight every girl who looks sideways at you!

Are we mere men sufficiently aware of who the mean girls actually are, at least until it's too late?
If the penny did drop, I'd steer well clear.
Unfortunately I was beguiled by a nasty girl, many moons ago, and it took me some time to realise quite what I had let myself in for; the story didn't have a happy ending.

| | I think (some) men will put up with a lot of bullshit (bad attitudes etc) to have a really hot piece of ass/eye candy. Unless she sucks in bed?
My boyfriend said he had a ridiculously hot girlfriend. Total model material or she always said she was anyway. Total bitch! Rude. Abrasive. Sense of entitlement. Men always did what she demanded of them. He put up with her at first because she was hot. He got tired of her REAL quick. He broke up with her and she said: Men do NOT break up with me. You WILL be back. He wasn't. Lol!
So anyway. He hated to admit it - but men do sometimes make illogical decisions when they think with their dicks!
Personally, I think that a confident woman doesn't need to be mean or belittle others to make themselves look or feel superior. Having respect for yourself and others exudes class. I think that's sexy in both sexes. | ..:::cleverly disguised as a responsible adult:::.. |

Mean Girls become one of the Real Housewives of _______________. Very few of them seem to have any substance at all. *I know I'll lose my gay card but I can't stand those Real Housewives shows.*

We know she's no good, but if she is hot, then men will put up with their shit to a certain point. After a while it just becomes not worth it and she gets kicked to the curb. Only suckers try to be anything serious with a "mean girl" type.
