I'm not a guy, but perhaps I could offer some perpective.

I have been on "dating" sites, but never to hook up. Honestly, when I did frequent those it was more to play and teese, than actually meeting up with random strangers. That just doesnt work for me. I had some nice conversations grow out of that, but never someone I would even consider having sex with.

Generally, I prefer fuckbuddies. People I can have fun with both outside and in bed. Just good friends I can have sex with if I want, but dont have to worry about getting out of hand. If I were to look for a one night stand, It would most likely be in a bar; but even then, it would be unlikely the first time I met them. I like to get to know someone a bit, usually a guys personallity will give away how they are like in bed. The sleek smartasses are most often a big dissapointment, where chivelrous yet assertive types tend be be great.

To the OP: Craigslist could be pretty sketchy, back when I used it. I imagine it has only gotten worse since then. Okcupid is a free dating site, but I used to use it for hook-ups/looking for fwb. If you put a reasonable amount of time into answering the various little questions/write a good AND honest profile, it can help you filter out the riff raff pretty decently.

I can tell you that online dating sites and the like are certainly not the most ideal mediums to use for hooking up, judging from my own experiences anyway. Bars are hit and miss really and clubs are even worse I find, so your best bet is probably an escort from a reputable agency.... that is if you can afford it of course otherwise your right hand man will see to your needs.

How guys get hookups is beyond me. I fail at it.

10 simple words.

Getting them out of the bar setting and into a more intimate setting is the first step. Too many distractions at the bar/club. You need her to be focused on you.

Step 2: Stock up on different kinds of booze beforehand. Nothing kills the mood like driving around for an hour looking for an open liquor store. The words "You can just drop me off at home" will haunt you for the rest of your sad pathetic little life. ;)

Step 3. Have a joint pre rolled, and make it a pinner.

Why pre rolled? Cause when your drunk and horny the last thing you want to do is be fumbling around with rolling a joint. You will fuck up at the very least 2 joints and waste about 7 minutes that could be spent getting your dick wet.

Why make it a pinner? The both of you have just spent the whole night drinking and dancing, plus by the time you get back to your place it's already getting late. If you roll a fattie you risk her a) greening out or b) passing out. The point of the pinner joint is not to get her fucked up but to send her just over that point where she throws her inabitions to the wind.
