For those who do not see the harm in the misogynistic views that have been, and are continued to be, posted here (and elsewhere) or those who come down on the (falsely) perceived "white knight" (in some cases ANYONE who dares to say that treating women like shit is bad...oh noooos! you is a "white knight!")

I watched the video but was nt particularly impressed, it was just a clip of some bloke ranting about some woman was who got some abuse on the internet.

Unpleasant though it may have been did she want or need some one to defend her ? treating her as though she can t defend herself is patronising and demeaning. May be the abuse did nt even bother her.

As for this site, while there are some misogynistic remarks, i have also seen some nasty comments made by women towards men. What is it women get from being on a gay porn site anyway ?

not sure about everyone else, but I dont treat this site as a "gay male" site. Sure that is here, but so are a lot of intelligent fun, and curious adults just looking for interaction in a safe way... and keeping things on-line always safe and non-demeaning to everyone is all the video is really about. JMO

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with anyone on the OP's issue per se, but "bandwagoning" is form of harassment also.

Yes, if something is wrong I think people should stand up and say it's wrong.

No, if something is borderline right/wrong and/or someone's opinion we don't need the same group of 10 people who always agree with each other telling that person how wrong their opinion is simply because it differs from their own.

I know it's happened to me plenty of times. It's harassing and it's just as wrong as any other form of harassment.

As a side note and relating to the video, I'm familiar with what he was talking about in the video and yes that was stupid, trollish and out of line. Being a gamer myself, I do see that happening personally to women in the gaming community quite frequently.

Umm other than myself and ML, who directly adressed EnglishMale, the others were expressing their agreement with the sentiment of the gent in the link. I do not see that as bandwagoning.

ML was very tame in her assessment of English male, I was too harsh and donned my kid gloves with him.

If people wish to say they do not feel it is as much an issue as the guy in the link said, they are free to do so. But if they are foolish about what they say (Lpsg is for gays only...we shouldn't stand up for people) then they should be prepared to get a ration of shit. Strangely, you can call a woman a "c#@#", or use "m..-f'er" (insulting motherhood to the ultimate) and not be banned for sexism, but call a black person the "n-word", and you will never have to worry about being back on the site again. Can't quite figure that one out in my head.

America is getting weirder and weirder by the day. There are doubles standards lurking everywhere in our society. You see, in the political correctness world, sexism and manners have taken a back seat to racism.

After all, words are really just words, no matter how much they may hurt, but you cannot expect the "unenlightened" (most people) to see the forest for the trees. But if you're going to ban a few offensive words, then ban them all. You cannot "cherry pick" and remain logical.
