Well, in thinking this through, here are my thoughts on the subject:

1. I'm thinking during the night, unless he's taken some sort of Viagra/Cialis-like pill, and is wearing a cock ring, his penis will get flaccid and I'm sure at some point during the night he'll naturally slip out (through movement while sleeping maybe?).

2. You may have a good point here. There is a possibility of him accidentally suffocating you while you sleep. But I'm thinking the subconscious body will attempt to protect itself and might roll him off of you during the night. I say this because I too have issues with women falling asleep on me (after a successful round of woman-on-top sex) and feeling like I'm gonna freaking DIE if I don't get her off of me! But I remember a couple of times having gotten her off of me and not really KNOW I did it until after I'd wake up and see her on the other side of the bed.

Sleep in a T shape, or inverted T depending on how you look at it, works for me and my gf

Sleeping "inside" you present no risks.
Usually the main side effect of sleeping with something lodged in your anus is loosing it and being unable to get it back without help, can't happen with a penis since it's attached to an outside body, but I don't know how you can remain hard all night without "slipping out" naturally
Lube is usefull for friction, but not necessary, you don't need a penis to be moist to be safe inside, your anus or your rectum will not get irritated because there's someone else's skin inside you.

As for the sleeping, I don't know.
Personally that's something than always frightens me since I'm pretty heavy, one of my BF wanted me to sleep on top of him but I was always fearing I would prevent him to breathe normally. I'm already always worried about the guy beneath me every time I'm on top so sleeping the whole night with a guy under my chest that's just something I cannot do (so I got a lot of almost sleepless nights where I woke up every five minutes to check he was okay and adjust myself to let him breathe more easily)

In my personal experience my bf slept inside me several times albeit in a spooning position. Nothing happened except for the occasional grinding (as he says I did in my sleep which woke him up) and being woken up from getting hard inside you. Yes I was very hesitant at first but he said it would help me take all of him (measuring using a tie and wooden ruler he was about 10 x 7) which after time it did help. He slipped out sometimes but he was big enough flaccid that it would only happen if we moved a lot. Oh and he usually held me in his arms (i.e. Held me in place)
