| | Slight ED problem
I have noticed that I am not staying hard as long as I used to. I sometime go soft before cuming. I have heard of the free male medical exams offered to try a drug to fix all. Has anyone gone to one of these places before? Did it help? I have a regular primary care doctor who is a woman and I am not sure that she is the best doctor to go to. What do you think?

What do you think? | If you go to a free medical exam to get checked, sponsored by a company with an ED drug, you can expect to be prescribed that drug to solve your problem. You will be better off going to your primary or a urology specialist for an exam and treatment. A female doctor knows the genital system as well as a male doctor, and can be equally informed to treat you. They've seen it all so don't be super-sensitive about showing her. Depending on your lifestyle (diet, alcohol use, smoking?) you could be experiencing the onset of ED. Or you may find there is some other underlying problem. You should go have it checked out by your doctor.
If it's any help to hear it, I can tell you I had the same problem you speak of when I got into the age of 65, I was prescribed Viagra in a small dose, and it has worked perfectly all these years.

I agree.

those male clinics are a total ripoff
see a urologist
i am guessing that you need a referral from your primary care and dont want to discuss it
just tell her you want a referral and just wanted a male doctor without going into too much detail. she should politely give you a name. if she presses, just tell her you think you might have a male problem and wanted to be sure with a urologist.
if that scenario is too much for you, you need to jump thru the hoops.
tell her you got some burning sensation when you urinate
she will do a std test
try to prescribe some antibiotics
tell her it is still there after a few days
and she will send you on your way

I am only 47. I will have to make an appointment to see a "real" doctor. My company just changed medical plans and I now have a ppo. I think I can go to any doctor who takes my insurance now.
Any idea what kind of test I should expect or will the doctor just prescribe so viagra and hope for the best?

Dude just tell your Doctor, and she will prescribe maybe Viagra or Levitra. A few years ago I went through a messy divorce, and I was just not having sex the way I used to, with my new girlfriend. It was embarrassing, and I was in late 20's then, which made it even more embarrasing. I talked to my Dr. about it, almost stuttering, and he told me sometimes your body physically can't take everything going on in your life, and he prescribed for me Levitra. He said to cut it in four, and take just a 1/4 of the pill. I did that, and let me tell you, not only was I having sex like I used to, but I felt like superman. I don't use it all the time, but occasionally when I'm stressed with work and life in general, I take it, and it makes sex great. I really don't give a fuck what other people say, and you shouldn't either. You want to have sex, then do whatever you have to. My Dr. made me feel very comfortable about it afterwards.

I expect your doctor will talk with you about a few things, such as: are you a smoker, do you drink alcohol a lot, what medications are you taking, and whether you've had any heart problems. Your blood pressure will be checked and a blood sample will probably be taken to check your testosterone and PSA regarding your prostate. (If you have routine checkups with your doctor, that information may already be in your medical record.) The doctor will not just prescribe Viagra without first being informed about your general physical condition, because there is some risk when using the ED meds.
