I am going to take your question at it's worth and try to answer the best I can. I can remember when I was very young and my dad and I would take showers together. I remember seeing his penis and thinking it was so very large compared to my own. I remember starting puberty and my dad telling me that I was becoming a youngman. My dad and I continued to use the same bathroom even when I was in highschool and early college. I felt comfortable with my dad even when I was naked. He looked at my dad and said, we don't ever do this at home. My dad just looked at him and said, "why not, we all have the same equipment! I never thought anything about seeing my dad naked and I hope he never thought anything about seeing me naked either.
Your son is 15 and I don't know his sexual maturity level but, it doesn't really matter that you saw him erect. That happens to most of us and expecially at his age. He may be wondering what you look like erect. We all seem to compare our size to others. Who knows? You probably did the right thing by not saying anything to him. However, if he were playing with himself or he did this in front of your wife or his sisters, I would be concerned. So, (didn't mean to type so much) I would not be concerned with it at this point. Thanks for the advice. I am divorced and the spa is at my home. However, if his mother or sister were around, I can assure you, neither of us would be nude. Although there is nothing wrong with nudity, I don't think that would be the same as him and myself soaking in the spa. As you said, the equipment is the same.

I concur with bigbull29 and careem. Concern to protect our kids from paedophiles is healthy but knee-jerk reactions are inappropriate.

You may be unusually comfortable compared with other US families for being naked with your teen son. I don't see anything unusual about him getting an erection or you getting an erection in those circumstances.

I wouldn't feel the need to say anything to him about it. On 2nd thoughts, I might point out to him that some guys might think he was inviting a sexual advance if they saw his erection so he should be careful. I might also discuss attitudes to nudity since so many US people seem to be so easily offended by nakedness.

What kind of a reaction did I think I was going to get? Well, I had thought maybe I would get some intelligent posts, like I have. People who were willing to share their thoughts openly and I appreciate those comments. What I didn't expect and don't appreciate are those branding me something that I am not. It appears that a few mean spirited people here are not only afraid of nudity, they feel it is all about sex. I go to a gym, men are naked in locker room and shower. No one should be ashamed of their body or to fear being nude around others of the same gender. There are guys who shower at the gym in their bathing suit or underwear. It is a shame that they are so fearful of nudity that they feel compelled to do that. I think the problem is not with me, or my post, but those who are a little intellectually challenged and maybe a little too focused on everything being sexual.

Divorced? Mother and daughter not home ? You naked in a home spa with your son? There were many good replies from people defending what happend and where believable. But you just keep digging a hole for yourself deeper and deeper.

Good point Sykray. In the wrong situation it could convey the wrong message to another guy. It could cause someone to act inappropriately toward my son or possibly even react violently if it was perceived as a sexual advance toward another male. I never considered that possibility. I really hope it was just his comfort with me and not something that would occur in front of another man in a setting away from home. For example at the gym or something. Maybe a reason to talk to him I hadn't considered.

Did you lose custody of his sister? If he is home schooled it might me a good idea to enroll him in public school. Maybe then he can interact with people his own age and not have to show off to dad and get approval. Then you can move on.
When I was 11 I asked my brother what was normal size(I did not show him),I said I read where 7 inches was supposed to be ok and he said "yeah, thats about right". He has about 11 inches-----go figure

Perhaps you missed it, way, way back. But I said he is in public school for the first time this year. He is with me every other weekend. His sister is here on the other. I get them for two months together over the summer. I need a little more time to write my biography if you need to know any more about my life, lol.
