From time to time I would wear my girlfriend's jeans, which are already tight on her, and is even tighter on me. I takes her 2 mins to get in and takes me 10 minutes to get in (and that's with her help). For health reasons, if you are going to wear a cockring over the course of a day, you definitely shouldn't exacerbate the constriction with tight jeans. It would be painful enough w/o cockrings already to wear those jeans.

Honestly, if I wear cockrings out in public during the day, i'm most inclined to wear slightly baggy pants (pleated pants) and I wear pouch underwear that can accommodate the bulge without constriction.

I have cock rings and my urologist said that I should not keep it on for no more than 20 minutes. If left on longer it might damage the penis and cause impotence. So be careful, especially if it's tight around your penis. The blood in your penis need circulation, even when you're erect during long intercouse before ejaculating the blood in your penis is getting circulated. Maayabe if the ring is not to tight you might be safe, if you want to take that chance.

The metal ring might be irritating more because it is not flexible than because it is made from metal. Try black rubber ones just to see if that is better for your skin. Might be, might not be.

A cock ring is fine for extended wear provided it's sized properly (if it's at all tight when you're flaccid, then it's not!).
