How can you tell if you are done with puberty

How can you tell if puberty is over, im 18 i have a lil mustache and very little chin hair, do you think im still goin through puberty?

I'm in the same boat. Im 18 as well and only shave once or twice a week and they aren't like a thick beard or anything.

I have heard that for people like me that didnt start puberty till late (say around 15) you may not fully finish until early 20s.

Don't stress mate, I know how you feel and Im sure mother nature has got it all worked out. :)

The surest way to tell is by checking the size of your testes with an orchidometer. Testicle size relates directly to what stage of puberty you're at.

Print out the orchidometer and try comparing sizes. It's normal for one testicle to be larger than the other. Measure the larger of the two.

That's interesting. I have a friend who has a 12 year old son. At a recent trip to the pediatrician the doctor took her aside and let her know that her little boy was pretty much done with puberty. She also showed her the orchidometer and told her that her son was at the top of the scale in testicle size. She was obviously shocked as was I! Not about his size; but that she felt the need to say anything other than, "Mrs. Smith your son is healthy and he has finished puberty."

One sure way to tell is when male pattern baldness kicks in.

You very well may be son...esp if you're only 18.
There are many variables to the stages of puberty.
Amoung them being as to when you actually started (early or late)
Early start =10 yrs of age (rare 9 yrs old)
Late start = perhaps as late as 20 yrs (a bit rare)
Puberty stages for males can last up to the age of about 20-23 yrs (this is generally peaking pt to end puberty) according to most research
You may also want to consider a factor that you may not gentically be a hairy person depending of race background.
Such as me (black male)... I hit puberty early at 10 and continued to peak until about 24...I am not a hairy person at all to this day...and am well over 45.
So hair growth patterns may not be a good indicator.
What's the rush with the hair growth anyway...it's a chore to shave daily
The best indicator other then physical characteristics is in your mental and emotional and sense of self-identity that pulls you into adulthood
(give and take your personal experiences).
Just be safe, be careful, & enjoy life as you grow...you'll soon enough realize when puberty is over for you.

Actually she should be happy her doctor took such care. My pediatrician, while a nice man, didn't pay a bit of attention. Had they caught my issues during puberty then I'd probably not have any penis size problems today because hormonal therapy would have been effective. Once puberty is over then there's nothing you can do short of PE. He should have sent me to an andrologist/endocrinologist. My exams consisted of a peek down my jockeys and that was that. I'd have sued him but he's dead. Ah well.

Its all cool man. Just sit it out.

I'm 25 and still going..sometimes older brothers or family members are a good indication. In time it will work itself out

Yeah, I'm 30 and I still don't have much chin hair. It might just be the way you are.
Some men get 5 o'clock shadow - I get Thursday shadow :)
