The Carver - Nip/Tuck

This just rang in my head as i read this. A slightly jaded quote on the world, but it seems to be more and more true everyday.

Amazing series btw.

Yeah just like high school... but who cares?

How sad. Considering the fact that physical beauty is a fleeting commodity they are making a very unwise bargain. "Beauty's only skin deep, but ugly's to the bone. Beauty often fades away, but ugly holds its own...." It is best to develop inner beauty because eventually time evens the playing field.

LPSGers can be supporters without actually owning the equipment...

I like the uniting theme of this site. For centuries, penises have been blamed for egos and violence...but now, the penis actually brings about harmony and friendship...as it should.

I checked out some of the profiles. They're fairly non-descript, and even the pictures aren't all that flattering or demanding. Pretty much anything you can capture from a cell phone. In any case, I thought it was hilarious to see how all the friends one puts on a profile are all of the same-sex. I would think that if I wanted to net someone beautiful, I'd be more interested in the opposite sex. (Didn't notice if profiles said much for sexual orientation.)

I've just applied for a laff.

Just getting through to registering was a trial.

You have to submit a photo so I submitted one of yours (only joking - "Butch Killyaonsight" would not look like you - LOL).

Will, let you know how I fair (if you care to know).

Somehow, I think I won't be accepted as a member.

One big diff, though, HG... on LPSG you are not required to submit a photo and bio, and allow the selection panel to either accept or reject you for membership. Glass house invocation does not apply.

That was really aimed broadly at the tone in most of the replies that preceded my own, not to Lee's specifically.

It seems that many are quick to demonize the group over there as contemptible and shallow without the benefit of directly experiencing the site or its membership. I know I've read more than one testimonial from members of LPSG as to how they joined as a lark, expecting a bunch of pretentious, egotistical crap and were surprised by what they actually found.

Given that much of this same attitude could easily be expected from the general public with regard to LPSG, I do consider it something of a glass house...and still think it foolish to so cavalierly toss aspersions at another site just because it might appear ridiculous on its face.

Ha ha. Its true. I agreed with Dc, but hazelgod has it, this site would be considered ridiculous by most. I bet there are some really nice beautiful people at that site.

How sad for somebody to be so insecure/shallow/ignorant they need something like that in the first place!

BEAUTY is in the eye of the Beholder (yeah I know, who the fuck cares)

What's the problem, really?

Doesn't bother me at all. I'm not interested, but what's the problem of people wanting to meet beautiful people? I guess a lot of hate towards them comes from a fragile ego.

"oh, they like beauty, they're shallow" That's bullshit! Look around, beauty is a powerful concept in our world (playbou, vanity fair etc etc etc).

I like beauty, so what? Am I shallow? Do I lack culture or education (I assure you that's NOT the case).

So, although I don't care to join the site... more power to them. They are not trolling others, and you only apply if you want to, right?

Call me shallow, but I'd accept a playboy mansion party invitation anyday. =D

I too, went there once and tried to get through the 'pre-approval' approval process. Didn't make it to first base. Ohhh, I was crushed!! (asswipes)
On the same theme, how about having a site where you get banned for having a totally ugly penis? Where membership isn't based on size, but on asthetic beauty, skin quality, shape, etc. I mean something that would ban the most hideously bent up cock, full of knobs, strange bumps, or warts that you wouldn't want to go anywhere near it. Think that would be a fair way to judge someones personna?
