Sailor Senshi

Not too long ago, I downloaded all five seasons (200 complete episodes) of Sailor Moon. I used to love the cartoon during my teen years, but was only able to watch season 1. Now that I have all 200 episodes, I haven't been really coming on that much here on LPSG. Right now, I'm on season 4, Sailor Moon Super S. Season 3, Sailor Moon Super was really cool, because Sailor Uranus came along. She's the butch lesbian who dresses like a guy. She's such a bad ass with her lover Sailor Neptune. All the episodes are Japanese dub with English subtitles. So the story remains the same.
None of the characters' personalities have been changed, unlike the English dub. In the first season, there were two gay villains, Zoisite and Kunzite. Zoisite had very long hair and acted in a feminine manner. He loved his Kunzite, who was more masculine than he was, and loved to be held in his arms. It was obvious they were in love, especially when they proclaimed it. In the English dub, they made it seem that Zoisite was a woman and not a man. So Zoisite became Zoycite. Unbelievable! I'm glad I didn't have to suffer through such lies.
Things aren't the same now that I've reached season 4, Sailor Moon Super S. I hope it picks up more like the other episodes. It just seems like only Usagi and Chibiusa (Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon) do all the work while the other Sailor Senshi do nothing. And plus, Diana, the kitten of Artemis and Luna, comes from the future to just like Chibiusa did. How lame!

Oh I love Sailor Moon too.
I have to say SuperS is my least favourite of the seasons though. It does mostly seem about Moon and Chibi Moon.
And best you have the subbed original language versions. Growing up on Sailor Moon with it dubbed it had no further meaning other than for kids, while really its original versions have a much more young adult/teen approach.
You're in for a ride with Stars, it is good. One of the top seasons I would say, though at times there is some annoyance with how it is run, but I won't say more than that to not spoil the plot.Posted 07-16-2012 at 10:37 AM by leeloo_dallas

LOL yeah the lesbians are cool. A little bit hard headed, even though they weren't like Sailor Moon and the others. But still, even some of them had a crush on Sailor Neptune. So there was this sort of bisexual crush going on over Sailor Neptune even when they knew she was a girl. It's cool to see animes like that open to sexuality. Very interesting.
I know that a new version of Sailor Moon will come out in 2013 with an entirely different story. I just wonder how much they're going to change.Posted 07-16-2012 at 11:43 AM by GB_GB

I watched Sailor Moon during Toonami and I liked it, it's actually one of the few shoujo animes that's watchable to me LOL, even though they had to change Zoisite's orientation so that they couldn't freak out little kids.Posted 07-16-2012 at 03:54 PM by blazblue

@ D 22: Yep. Sakura's best friend Madison (I forget her real name) was actually a lesbian but was edited out of the anime, but was kept in the manga though.Posted 07-17-2012 at 01:23 PM by blazblue

Super S was HORRID! It was by far the lamest season. Especially coming on the heels of Sailor Moon S (with the intro of the Outer Senshi and my all time fave lesbian couple...not to mention my favorite Senshi...Sailor Pluto!)
I was lost beyond words with Stars, lol Still loved it, though they changed a FAIRLY major plot point (well not so much storywise, but ...you'll see)
Glad to find other nerds here! lolPosted 07-17-2012 at 04:53 PM by B_Nicodemous

In Sailor Moon, they love they're cross dressing gay villains! I think the Amazon Trio saved me from eternal boredom in the Super S series. Without Hawk's Eye who cross dresses, or Fish Eye who's gay, feminine, beautiful, and intentionally dresses up as a girl to trap handsome straight men, I would've just stopped watching. I love how they just argue over which women to seduce and how to seduce them. Or why older women are better then young girls and vice versa.Posted 07-18-2012 at 10:40 AM by GB_GB
