So, my 17 yr old clunker had it's daily brainfart of a bad starter mode on Saturday, and guess what; I hadda park on an incline, as opposed to a decline, so I could just roll it & pop it to get it started. Well, a 235lb man versus a 2,000lb sedan up hill @ 5:45 in morn, no guess work that the sedan is gonna win every time.
So, I'm resting on my beast, when some guy I'm guessing lives around the complex pulls into the space next to mine, parks, but apparently is still on his bluetooth. So, what do I do? I give it another go, hoping this guy gets a clue that I need some help, right? Nuh uh.Not only does he get out, grab his bag(s) and is continuing his call while looking at me directly oblivious to my dilemna in I'm guessing arabic to his caller.
Nice pal. Well, along comes another guy, so I call out to him, try to explain that I need a push and could he help me, only to interrupted, and responded with, "No speak Ingles." Might've been a truism, except he's one of the guys completely renovating an apt next door, and I've hear him talk in clear English with the maintenance guy.
So, finally I grab my hammer and tire iron and tap the starter once or twice lightly, and it goes on.
Funniest thing is I would've helped them if they asked, but they sought fit to treat my dilemma like I was nothing.
