Hi, My interest in Asians is largely because I live here. I am particularly interested, as a psychologist, in the differences between the way Thais think and my Westernised system of logic. I have not had a lover here but I have taken visitors to boy bars to have a look and my housekeeper was an ex-bar boy/sex worker. As I have an academic and research interest in sexual psychology I have spoken with male sex workers here. I have visited Malaysia but not Indonesia (yet). I have been told that Indonesia - and Bali, in particular - has lost some of its charm in the past decade or in the last 20 years. I would guess that an Islamic culture would be less alien to me than living with Thai Buddhists with their mix of Buddhism, Hindu, Brahman, Confucianism and animism.
