I suspect the list of bankrupt porn stars, drug addicted porn stars, and porn stars dead before 40 is a whole lot more than 20 names. I have no problem with porn (rather enjoy it, both gay and straight), but most people who make porn are not aspiring actors or budding entrepreneurs looking to capitalize on their assets while they are young and toned. The porn industry is notorious for attracting people with problems and destroying them. Too bad, too, because it looks like it could be fun, otherwise.

Also, I have to say I had never heard of Evan Seinfeld or Evan Stone before. Um...all I can say is, I shall never understand the reasons that some guys get famous in straight porn. Every inch of Seinfeld is tattooed (yech) and Stone needs a haircut. Then again Ron Jeremy is not exactly the hottest guy.

I guess what you have to have to be a guy on this list is hundreds and hundreds of porn scenes to your credit. Also omitted is Steve Hirsch, age 51 of Vivid video who is said to be worth north of $100 million. Steve got his start as a kid in suburban Cleveland working for his father and porn king Reuban Sturman. If anyone has some free time, research the Jewish mafia and the porn kings of the San Fernando Valley; interesting and scary. And the only thing we ever read is about the Sicilian mafia.

If you watch the documentary Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy it would seem he makes a lot more money making appearances than he does from porn. Anything from media events, TV and mainstream movies, to fraternity parties. He basically lives out of and drives around in this old car and does all his bookings via this ancient cluttered notebook with all his contacts in it.

Well, that's why I won't be one. Yes, the industry itself is worth millinons. But at the end of the day you're still a whore.

A lot of pornstars have issues and more than likely was at the lower in the the spectrum in terms of income. People that want to become CEOs or Hollywood stars will more than likely not enter teh industry.
