I had a housemate a few years ago who used to "read aloud" the gay subtext in movies. While watching Rebel Without a Cause, every time Plato (Sal) looked at Jim (James Dean), with those big, brown, puppy-dog eyes, she'd say things like "I love you, Jimmy. I want to be with you."
