This thread hits a bit of a sore spot with me.
I have never bottomed for another guy. One of the reasons I refuse to bottom is because it seems like many would-be tops think anal sex is going to be like a porn movie, that the bottom is going to be clean and is going to stay clean, even in an unplanned encounter. They don't seem to understand that in real life, sex is sometimes messy--especially anal sex.
In reality, rectums are sometimes not completely empty, and even when they start off empty, they don't always stay empty.
I have experimented with anal penetration on myself using fingers and dildos and such. I've learned a lot of interesting things about my body, not all of them good.
In all my years of anal sex, I've never experienced this. I have also never used a douche or an enema.
You are very lucky. I hate you. It's not so easy for everyone.
I know when it's a "good time" for anal sex and when it's a "bad time" if you know what I mean. Maybe this guy didn't listen to his body.

Seriously though, in my experience, guys that are not experienced with big cocks dont realize how deep we go and dont really clean well enough. A simple dousche isnt enough. Any guy over 8 can trigger a colon response. Sometimes I can tell right away when they have a spastic colon cause I hit too deep usually thats a game over.
Quite right, but that can also happen even when the top is smaller than 8 inches. Sometimes,
any anal stimulation can trigger the colon.
Good point scruffylookin. If a guy is big enough, he'll penetrate the internal sphincter into the Sigmoid colon. So even if the rectum is clean, which for many people it is on it's own, once you go past the internal sphincter things can get messy unless you've thoroughly cleaned yourself out.
Again, quite right. Based on my experimentation, I also have a theory that some guys have a relatively small/short rectum, so the top doesn't have to be all that big to reach the sigmoid colon.

several short douches with small amounts of water seems to work better than a long deep douche. don't try to force huge amounts of water up your ass. force in too much water and you end up squirting it out for hours (not much fun).
Douches are fine for cleaning out the rectum, which is all most people need to do. As you say, if you use too much water, it will go into the colon and then you'll be squirting it out for hours.
But if you're going to be doing deep penetration or if you are one of those unfortunate souls with a short rectum, then the colon needs to be cleaned too. I believe this would require an enema, but I don't know how you avoid the problem of having diarrhea-like bowel movements for the next several hours.
