Actually there is a reason that penises in japanese pornos are typically average to small.
Porn is about fantasies so it pushes the extremes so in the US they cater to the fantasy that having a big penis for yourself equals power and sexual prowess.
But fantasy doesn't have to be about the extremes. It can also just be a scenerio or an ideal you have. In japanese porn they PURPOSEFULLY select men with small penis sizes. Not because they want to keep it "realistic" or becasue japanese penises are typically small. But its to stroke the ego of the viewer. It's to give the viewers a sense of superiority. By selecting smaller than average dicks to showcase in porn the japanese porn industry gives their audience the sense that their penis is way larger than average.
Also you have to realize that when japanese porn studios don't make their pornos for the entire world to view. Not all studios have production power of that capability. So they aren't making themselves look bad in front of the world. They aren't really considering outside viewers. It's japanese porn made for a japanese audience.
