I think a downward curve makes the whole thing look a lot bigger (90% of the 'huge flaccid' shots we see out there are just guys with down-pointing erections... like that scene in 'Hall Pass'.)
Still, I think my upcurve gives it more of a 'ready for action' kind of look. I feel like it's a lot easier to control position + pressure of an upcurve than anything else, since the tendons on the penis pull it up. Pushing right in to a fornix/gspot it way easier with some kind of curve, and I think I can put more pressure on it with an up than a down.
I'm hesitant about any question of what's 'better' when it comes to the human body. So long as you're healthy and functional a bigger/average/smaller/upcurved/straight/downcurved one can all be better suited for some things and less suited to others.
Totally agree. I'd say it's more like 99% though imo.

I personally think a downward curve is more of the "show-y" penis. It's easier to take angled pics or videos from the topside that make it look huge at nearly any size. That is why you see mostly downward curves in porn or the "omg" pics/vids.
Conversely, I think upward curves perform better sexually. It's my experience that they seem to get closer to rock hard and stay there longer. Also, from the underside, or when the guy is sitting down, they have the same "wow" factor that downward curves do from the topside... but it is much harder to capture that same factor repeatedly in pics and vids with an upward curve.

Another thing is the pseudo "standard" of measuring.
Downward curves have upward curves beat all day long when it comes to measuring exclusively along the topside. Upward curves lose at least and inch and most of the time more just by having the upward curve, whereas downward curves gain that inch or more (topside versus the bottomside).
Just like most of the "huge semi" pics are downward curves, so are most of the "huge measuring" pics. Most cocks that are tipping the 9" mark only do so because of downward curvature.
