I just downloaded the first episode of "Little Britain USA" (from tvtorrents.com). There was this fucking hillarious scene about bodybuilders, homophobia and dick sizes. Did anyone else watch it?

I've seen the sketch you are talking about. It's typical Little Britain stuff, they aim to shock but the subjects they cover are somehow true.

Little Britain is very politically incorrect, so if you are easily squeamish stay the hell away from it, you'll definitely get offended. But for those of you that enjoyed Borat, this might be for you as well.

I didn't realize the skit was about homophobia, at all. I'm a gay man that is often perplexed at the realization that going to gay clubs or gay events often seems to imply to a lot of the guys that since we're both in a gay club that the obvious rules of personal interaction should be thrown out. I've walked into gay clubs and events and been petted, like I'm a puppy. When was the last time you walked into a business meeting or a college class and the people that found you attractive felt they were allowed to pet you? The same thing is true of this skit. If you go to a gym and engage in blatant behavior, gay or straight, then you aren't observing social reality. If a straight couple gets to walk down the street holding hands, then so should a gay couple. But, these guys were operating inside a parody.

I think the skit is true in that the bigger you want your body to be the smaller your dick ends up looking. To me, it illustrates a contradiction in the idea that being hugely over muscled to be masculine ends up making the only actual, physical representation of your masculinity look so much smaller. But, that might be a luxury for a guy like me that has always found needlessly large muscles to be a turn off. But, in answering this post, I've made it seem like I assigned much more depth and meanng to this skit than there actually was, in reality. It was just funny, ironic and pretty truthful.

I don't realize they're not gay, since I haven't felt a need to look them up. Their UK stuff is no less irreverent. What sexuality they are is of no importance to me. I just didn't think there was any homophobia in it.

Well... they're making fun of homophobic guys... The guys making the show are definately not homophobic (one of them is gay, the other is straight)

maybe I misunderstood you - maybe we're talking passed eachother

    Hold the press!!!!!

The bald guy is sooooo gay, he's even in a civil partnership. The sexuality of the other guy is unknown, he gives clues to both being gay and and straight. I don't think he'll ever admit what his sexuality is.

I have the first season of "Little Britain" on DVD. About a year ago I watched some or all of it. It's not memorable, because I can hardly remember it. I have thousands of video movies and TV shows, and unless they are excellent or personally enjoyable, it's difficult to remember them. Basically, everything's already been done, and most movies and TV shows are deja vu rehashes.

My memory of "Little Britain" is that it is not especially funny, there are too many characters, and it's not very politically correct. The ONLY character I can remember is a fat gay man. I doubt if the American version will succeed, because revivals usually fail, especially transplanted ones.

Strangely, I was thinking of watching "Little Britain" again soon. Right now I'm watching the first season of "Dynasty"--the only soap opera I've ever seen.

Bo Hopkins as Mathew in "Dynasty" looks like the guy in the FAKE "Steve McQueen" nude photo in another recent thread. He looks more like the photo than McQueen. Frankly, I don't believe the photo is of McQueen or Hopkins, just some jerk with a little dick.
