The biggest myth out there today is that HIV cannot be spread by oral. We all have tiny lesions in our mouth at any given time from eating, brushing and flossing our teeth. Some lesions are so tiny we do not see them, and therefore it is very possible for a virus, which is invisible, to pass. The same is true for our penis. Excessive masturbation or even sex can cause tiny lesions. We can't see everything with the naked eye. How many people do you know who have oral with a condom on? Probably none. So much for safe or safer sex. And studies have been done to show that gay men are highly promiscuous and have far more sexual partners than straight men. Women will say no to sex. Men will not. This is why HIV spread so rapidly in the gay communities in the 1980's.
The source of Andy's quotation is an anti-gay site which makes all kinds of outrageous claims on the basis of erroneous or spurious statistics, many attributed to sources from which they have been taken out of all context.
The anti-gay site promotes the homophobic work of the fundamentalist group Family Research Institute, a well-documented source of anti-gay propaganda based on falsified or wilfully misinterpreted data. Its heavy use of footnotes assumes that people will give its arguments academic/scientific credence; in fact, following up on almost any one of these footnotes reveals only the tangential interpretations and spurious uses to which the FRI has put the source material.

(You will smell the nuts cooking.) PREPARE TOPPING: Brown pecans for topping in 1 T butter and the light brown sugar until resembles praline; let cool. Soften cream cheese; add 2 T sour cream (optional). Mix up pudding according to directions, including milk. Blend cream cheese mixture thoroughly with confectioner's sugar; add 1 cup Cool Whip from container. Spread cream cheese mixture onto cooled crust; top with pudding, then the rest of the cool whip. Actually, it is discriminatory, especially since it's been cited that not allowing gay men to donate blood is useless if the blood supply is not rigorously tested.
Did you know the Red Cross was recently fined 4.2 Million dollars for not adequately screening and testing blood?
Knowing how unreliable self-reports of sexual activity are, why does the Red Cross insist on donor honesty as a way of keeping the blood supply disease free rather than actual tests?
Here are 2 questions that can cause them to reject you as a donor:
Have you gotten a tattoo in the past 2 years?
Have you had sex with a man since 1977?
Since honest answers are needed and you don't have to have direct sex with a man to contract HIV or other bloodborne pathogens (someone you have sex with can have sex with someone who has sex with a man without your knowledge)-what do these questions really get at?
It's all rather ignorant to me. I have a tattoo and have had sex with a man in that past 6 months. I also have Type O blood and am drug and disease free. Shame my blood won't be used to save a life.

There's a big difference between urine and feces. Feces is waste. Urine is cleansed by the kidneys. Yes, straights are promiscuous, but women control sex. They can get pregnant, they have periods, they are not in the mood, they want love, etc. Two gay guys get together and it's sex, sex, sex. It's common for gays to go to bathhouses or gyms and have sex with multiple partners in one night. That doesn't happen to straight men. Surveys have been done and they indicate that gay men have way more sex partners and one night stands than straight men.
