I have a pretty funny tale about this, well, funny to me
A few years ago, it was a big birthday for me, so 5 friends and myself went on a trip to the US, rented a house etc
Was a really lovely trip.
One of the conditions/requests when renting the house was when departing on the last day, to collect all the towels and put them in the washing machine and put them on a hot wash so the house keeper could take them out when they arrived after we departed. Being the house proud type person I am, I had sort of adopted the role of taking care of the house, cooking and looking after everyone whilst we were there. So, in the final preparations to leave the house on the last day, I went around collecting the dirty towels to put in the washer.
I went into one of the bedrooms and there was a towel on the floor, so I picked it up and headed for the laundry room. It was "damp" in places, but, being a towel, I thought nothing of it
After a few minutes, the guys who were sharing that room came into the kitchen and asked "who picked up all the towels?" so I said it was me. They started laughing and said "you might want to wash your hands
". It took a few seconds to sink in
