The Democrats are proving that they cannot be trusted. Democrats are proving that they don't respect the judgment and voice of the American people. The Democrats are single-handedly reviving the Republican Party with their slaps in the face to the American people.

    The American Spectator

The Democrats don't want us to know the costs. The Democrats don't want us to read the bill because they can't defend their crap. And they want to deal in abstract "concepts" making claims and promises and then do what they want in the end.

    ObamaCare is a fallacy.

The lawmakers stalling are the Democrats...stalling from actually presenting the bill they intend to vote on with all of the proper information to the American people to evaluate.

It is a disgrace for the Democratic Party and they should be ashamed of themselves.

That's because the final bill isn't completed yet, McFly. DUH!!!
What part of "over 500 revisions" do you not understand?

It's also saddening to see common sense escape you repeatedly. But don't let that stop you from ranting and raving.

Once again, you have no idea what you are talking about. The bill must be voted on in committee. The amendment asked for the bill to be fully written up, costed out by the CBO and allowed to be placed on the internet for 72 hours so that the American people could review it before the committee voted on it.

    Please read and inform yourself.

Actually, if I recall, he specifically said "to give the providers" onhand the chance to review the bill. In other words, the people who run the insurance companies. As a Republican, he is following the Republican party stance of protecting the rights and privileges of businesses from interference by the government by giving them adequete time to read and formulate protests to anything in the reform which would harm their ability to conduct business.

What the Democratic party did was stand by their party's platform which has the government to step in to protect the common people from big bad irresponsible business men that are threatening their rights or well-being. They reasoned that the insurance companies are too focused on their profits and the point of the reform is to get everyone insured, so the insurance companies should have no extra say in it. If they want to, there is nothing stopping them from keeping abreast of changes as they are made, just the same as everyone else in America. This isn't being done behind closed doors after all, and there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to have adequete time to lobby for their rights.

One of the primary goals that Obama campaigned on was restricting the power of lobbyists and special interests in Washnigton. It was a good idea then, and it remains so now.

I wonder, why was there no 72-hour waiting period proposed for the bailout, so that they could review it and make sure their rights were being protected? Why didn't anyone have a problem then?

Ah, but more and more of the American People DO NOT want the new "Healthcare Plan."

Health Care Reform - Rasmussen Reports

But, I am sure the Dems will jam it down our throats anyway, even though the majority doesn't want it.

This isn't a democracy, it's representative government. And "The Dems" are not one entity. If they were, they would have been able to get this passed months ago by all voting the same way, regardless of what the Republicans tried to do.

In any case, the masses are currently disapproving of the health care plan because of the climate around it. Think about it, if you don't have the patience to read a 1000 page bill and rely on what the people in Washington and/or special interest groups have to say about it, you'd currently be very confused. There have been many rumors and outright lies passed around about the actual intent of this bill. Some believe Obama will provide health care to all illegal aliens, which has been proven false. Some believe he will institue Socialized Medicine, which is both false and not even a real and defined establishment. Some believe that Obama's "disaster relief efforts" in my state of Georgia are a plot to create concentration camps to house political dissidents. Some people still don't believe that Obama is a citizen.

This is the reason why Obama's last big speech on healthcare included the declaration "If you misrepresent this bill, we will call you out." People are in a tizzy and don't know what to think about the bill or the President in general. I think that given the political climate at this time, that poll is merely stating that people are uncertain about what will happen if it is passed. They're having trouble sorting out the lies, half truths, ideological debates, and actual effects. People don't like uncertainty. We'll see how long the approval stays that way after the Republicans officially separate themselves from the political rumormongers.

Lots of percentages, yet no exact number of the people called.
Even if the poll was only done to 100 people, percentages could look just as accurate, with the message delivered could be just as deceiving. Math is still not your friend.

So, can we find out how many people were actually called, therefore allowing everyone to calculate a more accurate figure that represents more people in the United States? Or are you going to continue with the partisan bullshit, which would also require you take the illogical stance that assumes the company conducting the survey did indeed reach out to all 304,059,724 Million people and got their opinions? If you pick the latter (which we all know you will since you can only view things in binary anyhow), then logic just walked out the door with math as well. They're both not too pleased with you or this post.

This is the mirror image of the situation surrounding the decision to go to war in Iraq after 9/11. A giant campaign of support for going to war was waged by Republicans and their satellite mouthpieces. Anyone who didn't support the war effort was "unpatriotic" or "un-American". Currently, anyone who supports the health care proposal is a "socialist". Different game, same tactic. And it works to an alarming degree, because a great many people are ill-informed and they rely on the satellite mouthpieces for their "news" and the "analysis" of same. And there has been a massive effort to subtly (and sometimes blatantly) press the jingoistic, xenophobic, patriotic, etc., buttons that will move a significant portion of the public sentiment in the desired direction.

Monique Zimmerman-Stein has been nearly blind for the last two years from Stickler syndrome, a rare genetic disorder. She recently decided to forego her own treatment to save funds to treat her two daughters, who also suffer from the condition, reports Lane DeGregory of the St. Petersburg Times.
The family is covered under husband Gary's Blue Cross/Blue Shield plan, but that coverage only pays for 80 percent of medical expenses.
She will no longer get treatment to preserve that last slice of light. The injections that might help cost $380 after insurance, and she needs one every six weeks. She could be spending that money on her daughters' care.

ObamaCare won't solve her problem...it will make it worse. People in Canada with life threatening or costly health problems travel to the U.S. to save their lives and their health.

The mother has healthcare but it's not affordable to her. ObamaCare won't solve that problem for her.

This story is heartbreaking. ObamaCare would let the mother and daughters go blind. And I wish people would open their eyes:

Obama can't make up his mind about keeping US safe in regards to his "good" war in Afghanistan. Iran is popping off as we speak. We are actually depending on Russia and China to deal with that issue! And the issue by the way is a nuclear Iran. North Korea is just waiting to start acting stupid.

We don't have a trillion dollars for the Crap of a plan the Democrats refuse to scrap and start over on that WILL NOT work to curb costs or improve access or care AND will add to the deficit.

If you didn't understand what I wrote...We can't afford the crap of a plan called ObamaCare that Obama is stupidly pushing and the Democrats are ignorantly hashing out in congress and it won't work to do anything Obama and the Democrats promise.
