There is zero truth to this. This is another myth perpetrated by a bunch of uneducated individuals pushing their own agendas.

The problem is created by an illusion based on proportion. If a bodybuilder has 32 inch quads this will make an 8 inch erection look quite small. Again, the problem is not that the penis is so much smaller, but that the quads, glutes, and other surrounding muscle structures are large enough to make something that is average or above appear to be small.

When it comes to usage of steroids the "shrinking dick" is another myth. In order to shrink a penis in fact one would have to remove cell structure. This is just as true as it would be that in order to grow one you would have to have cellular division and multiplication.

Testicular atrophy does happen, but, again a good to average size set of balls will look microscopic when placed between two 31 inch thighs. When testosterone is taken in high dosages testicular atrophy takes place. This means a small amount of shrinkage happens when the testicles no longer have to work hard to produce the hormone. This is compensated for by cycles of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. Men receiving male HRT have the same thing if they have a smart MD. The idea is to make certain that one does not allow testosterone production to be shut down completely.

Well said FuzzyKen. I know a guy that competes in the superheavy weight class and is hung very big. He about 6' 2", 310 in the off season and hits the stage at around 270 lbs. if not, and natural muscle, can be the opposite. exercise increases vascularisation and as the cock is blood vessels getting larger, then it may make sense.

I've photographed 20 to 30 bodybuilders over the years. Black, white, asian, latin and their dick sizes ran the range from small to huge. It is just a myth that bodybuilders have small cocks. Some do and some don't. Their bodybuilding has nothing to do with it.

Shane Deisel was a competitive bodybuilder. He almost became a pro. His dick did not shrink. Nobody's dick shrinks from steroids. That is the biggest crock of shit ever. Those of you who say steroids do shrink your penis sound really stupid when you say that. Do a little tiny bit of research in to steroids. Just go to the trouble of learning even the smallest ammount of truth before you speak. The whole penis shrinking myth takes away from people learning the real risks.

Keep your blood pressure in check. Keep estrogen under control and always realize that sometimes less is more. You can have a lot of fun and find this to be a rewarding expereince. It is a sport that knows no color or creed. It is great

The cause of testicles shrinking while partaking in exogenous, transdermal, or oral androgen therapy is because of retarded spermogenesis. The pituitary gland responds to serum levels of testosterone so that the testicles will know when some needs to be made. When the body is low on testosterone or needs more the hypothalamus tells the pituitary gland to release leutenizing hormone which stimulates the leydig cells in the testes. This causes the testicles to make both testosterone and sperm. Some testosterone is aromatized (converted) in to estrogen but most of it remains as testosterone. The proccess that maintains balance of androgens in the body is called HPTA Hypothalamus, Pituitary, Testicular Axis). The goal of HPTA is to maintain homeostasis (self balance). You will notice that none of this involves the penis. The organs mentioned are testicles, hypothalamus, and pituitary gland.

You may be partially right about short guys compensating. I am short and I happen to be a bodybuilder (retired now) but I got in to it because my father was a football player. I am not at all insecure about my height most of my buddies are all much taller than I am. In fact not too long ago someone said I must only make friends with people who can reach stuff in the kitchen for me. Anyway I know several guys who around my height and all of them try to compensate. It is fucking sad as hell to me. I have had women ask me how many inches I have but not feet. For the record I have been told by a woman that I am sexy but I am not tall enough. It has happened and it was annoying, but no big deal. There are plenty of women out there and there is at least one someone for everybody. I am married to a woman that is 4'11"!!!

I think you also have to take in to consideration that everyones definition of big is different. To some people 7" might be consider big, others might think big doesn't start until you reach 10". Plus when are you considered a bodybuilder, is it a guy with 14" biceps or a guy with 20" biceps. Food for thought
