I don't think he's soft in those pictures. He definitely has a hard-on to a certain degree...if you're a man who's ever worn jeans, you can tell. No soft penis sticks out that much. You also have to factor in that he's 5'8..which is below average height. He's kinda short. An average sized penis, especially when hard, is going to look big bulging out of his tight pants.

I don't know...I'm 6'1 and I'm being easy on myself by saying that I'm 6 1/2". I'm actually probably closer to 6". If I look at myself with two mirrors though (which is a "real" reflection of me since it isn't mirror) I look bigger than what I percieve as being "6-6 1/2 inches". I was literally shocked when I first looked at myself from that angle because I thought to myself "if I saw a guy in a porn with a penis the way mine looks right now, I would definitely think he was like 7 inches at least".
