I looked up Forgetting Sarah Marshall after reading the OP's post, and I found an article in the LA Times about the recent increase of male nudity in films. The author essentially agrees with you about McGregor.

Ewan MacGregor deserves special notice for his appearances in four films that stand in contrast to his iconic turns as Jedi master Obi Wan Kenobi in the "Star Wars" prequels. The Scottish actor flashed his light-saber for the independent films "Trainspotting" (1996), "The Pillow Book" (1996), "Young Adam" (2003) and "Velvet Goldmine" (1998).

You know, of all the types of horror movies out there, there's something different about zombie films. Personally, I find them more disturbing, and certainly more disgusting, yet (with a couple of notable exceptions) they are typically very low-budget and extremely low-brow, which lends them an element of campiness that makes them not quite as horrific, because you just can't take them seriously.

As if that weren't bad enough, in recent years they've gone into necrophilia territory, without actually being about real necrophilia (because for most people, that's just too much), either lingering on the edge of pornography or being explicity pornographic. A disproportionate number of these tend to be about gay zombies. (And some of the ones that aren't flirt with subtle instances of homoeroticism.) Hmm...

Vidkid Timo's At Twilight Come the Flesh-Eaters was mostly worthless as a zombie movie, but had some cute guys and a couple of decent sex scenes, though very little actual zombie content.

In one of the few zombie scenes, this cutie gets a blowjob from his "sister" in a graveyard (there's a nice cumshot), teases his sister about the flesh eaters (he actually does some pretty good acting in this scene--I wonder if, at the time, he was a theater major in college who did this one porno as a bit of a lark), then gets attacked by a flesh-eater himself. He shouts something like "Oh, God, he's eating me. He's fucking me and eating me at the same time," which, while sick, was also quite funny...and a little bit sexy.

There are other such zombie movies with sexual themes, some pornographic (softcore and hardcore) and some not, and all kinda sick. I genuinely wonder what we are coming to when this kind of crap can be made.

As for Otto, I looked it up and I can see why people might enjoy a story about a goth zombie twink. At the same time, there's something about the whole concept that disturbs me even more than other films of the same bizarre genre.

I'll be the OP never imagine this thread would include a discussion of zombie porn, but gay horror is one genre where there's a good chance you'll see some dick, and even if you don't, you'll see a lot of young, hot male flesh (albeit decayed, bloody, mangled, disembowled, or partially eaten).

Ah, now that's better. Lovely, hedonistic film. It made me with I had gone to Paris in my youth to be befriended by a couple of local kids, invited into their home, and seduced into being their lover. But I was seriously disappointed when the two guys were getting close and the girl interrupted them. Typical woman, always has to be the center of attention, never letting the boys have some fun on their own. :grumble: I jumped up and started yelling "Bitch!" at the screen. That reminds me of Altered States in which Hurt's character de-evolves into a "primal man" (played by dancer Miguel Godreau) who runs around naked. You get some blurry glimpses of genitals, and a silhouette of fuzzy balls. I don't know if they were the actor's own equipment, or some kind of prothestic. In either case, I saw it on TV and was quite surprised that it wasn't edited out.

Oh, that reminds me of all the naked guys in Walking with Cavemen. On TV, you only got brief glimpses of genitals. I don't know if there's a DVD version that shows more. Again, they've got ugly ape-man faces, but they had nice bodies, and I thought it was cool that they got a group of actors to walk around stark naked for pretty much the whole time, at least until they got evolved enough to start wearing clothing.
