Well, after reading about it on the web, and since I have benefits from work, I scheduled a physical exam and went and had my first prostate exam also. And a set of blood tests for pre-cancer screening, cholesterol, the prostate thing test, etc.

I walked into the office as the first patient of the day. There were 3 mildly hot girls working in the office, 2 in their 20's and one who was more like 40. All I could think was "Do they know I'm here to get the doctor's finger shoved up my ass?". The doctor himself was about 40 years old. It was kind of hard to feel like a man with that on my mind, standing in front of 3 women.

First the nurse came in and did the usual stuff. Heart rate, temperature, blood pressure, etc. Then shortly after, here comes the doc. He asked if there was anything unusual going on, and he checked my eyes and ears and nose (?), and put his stethoscope all over my chest and back. Then he had me lay down and he was feeling around on my stomach and having me breathe in & out.

I thought he'd want to check out my balls and cock for some reason as part of the physical, but that never happened. Too bad, I was hoping he'd ask about my half-restored foreskin. Apparently he thought that was all, but I said I wanted to get started on the prostate exams while I had a job with benefits, even though I'm a few years too young to really start worrying about it yet.

He said okay, and come over here, drop the pants, and bend over the exam table. I did all that, and he got the glove and lube ready.

He stuck his finger (I think it was one finger) up my ass, about 2-3 inches. For some reason, I thought it'd have to go in further. I was thinking "Ooohhh yeah, you got your finger up my ass checking my prostate" like some kind of pervert :).

He felt around my prostate for what seemed like 10-15 seconds, and that was pretty much it. Then I got the handful of tissues to wipe the lube out of my ass and that was all. Total pants down time was about a minute.

Somehow, I had hoped it would last longer. But he said it felt normal, and marked my blood test sheet for the PSA prostate test.

I've done more anal probing with my 4-1/2" butt plug than what went on in the doctor's office. It was wild, cool, fun, and interesting, all at the same time. But I couldn't get rid of the feeling that the doctor might have thought I was some kind of ass-happy pervert for wanting the prostate test.

My ass tingled a bit for a while, and after an hour or so I didn't feel it at all anymore.

I went to work for the rest of my shift, and was looking around at some of the other people thinking "hey I had the doctor's finger up my ass this morning!".

I don't think I'll have any problem going back for my next prostate exam sometime!

My biggest fear is getting a hardon during the exam.

Why is that a fear? It lets the doc know that your plumbing works. He's seen it before during exams, I'm sure.

At least the doctor wasn't attracted to you. I have several times when a nurse has insisted on giving me a prostate exam. This was when I was in my early 30's.... for my own benefit of course.

    BIG WARNING.

Make sure they pull the blood for the PSA test first before the prostate exam.

There is the possibility that the pressure of the doctor pushing on the prostate could cause an elevated PSA reading.

I made the mistake of letting this old spinster lady be my friend, she's always down the doctors getting her bottom probed.

He didn't do his job correctly. He should have checked your entire penis and your testicles for an lumps. Cough!

It is very quick, but one urologist I went to really felt around in there and was very thorough. They're feeling for lumps, prostate enlargement, and the overall texture.

They do it day in and day out.

The doctor would most likely not see it if you were bent over. One doctor I went to gave me a prostate exam while I was on my back. It never happened to me no matter what position I was in.

And you're not supposed to ejaculate for a few days before the PSA test. That can also give a false elevated reading.

My doc is a woman. I'm gay. I felt a bit violated... no card, roses and in and out in 15 seconds.

My first prostate exam was last summer in addition to my routine 6 month check up. My visit was early on my way to work, and I had no idea that he was going to check my prostate prior to my appointment. The doctor said "coming in" and I gasped. I wanted to make a snide remark that he needed to work on his foreplay, but decided against it. I made jokes with some of my coworkers that I felt like I was just raped and we laughed hysterically. Welcome to old age! At least everything was normal. Next time I'll schedule the exam on Saturday instead of before work.

I had gone for my physical one day, and no one had told me not to eat that morning, so I had to come back the next day for the blood tests.

I woke up at 6:00, jerked off in front of the computer to one of the free porn sites I go to regularly, and was in to do the blood tests around 7:45. So I don't know what might happen with the PSA prostate tests.

I know of one female doctor who is around 55-60 years old in a small town, maybe I'll go to her the next time. I hope she examines my cock and balls really good in addition to the prostate check!

During my prostate check, I didn't have a boner, just average soft. And even during the finger in ass part, the thought of getting a boner didn't even occur to me, I was trying to pay attention to what the doctor was doing.

as a 2 year prostate cancer survivor I've had my share of fingers up my ass. My oncologist is very concious of pain and feelings and is extremely professional, on the other hand my urologist goes at it like a drill instructor, and I'm ordered to "bend over old SPARKEY" (the chair) .......guess which one I like the best ?

I was only 15. No kidding. Same doc did it every year for the next three years. I now know it was pretty much unnecessary. Creepy.

That exam likewise no big deal. I had about three years ago. I went in, got naked, put on a "gown," lay on my side, and the doc put me out. It took maybe 45 minutes. I woke up in the recovery room, got dressed, went home, and slept for 10 hours.

Not eating for 24 hours beforehand is bad, but the multiple enemas (I took Fleets, which you drink with water) to clean you out are pretty bad. I'm glad I don't have to do it again for a couple of years.

I didn't have any bowel movement for a week afterward. Just after I phoned up the doc to ask if that was normal, I moved.

Because cancer is rampant in my family, my doctor started doing the prostate exam as well as colon cancer checks when I was in my early 30s. One time, I started leaking precum, but I've never gotten hard from it. He laughed and said that it was pretty common to leak because of the stimulation of the prostate. He just gave me more tissues to clean up with.

We should all do any kind of self check and get regular physicals to make sure that any diseases are caught early. One can never be too cautious with their health.

Yah, I'll admit. It's the only time us straight guys get to have some-one place thier finger up our butts, and wish it would last longer without us getting an erection. Then agian, if the doctor says my erection is something to be proud of, it's worth it. LOL

To :RandyL - I had a prostate infection and learned so much info. Thank God its gone and I'm OK BUT, I was told NEVER EVER cum before a blood test for PSA. It must be at 24 hrs. Somehow it will skew the results.
