I'm black, hairy, but I shave. I am not sure if it's because it's "in" more or so that I've always been hairy since 7th grade, and I am just tired of my hair. Also, I am runner so I like to look nice and not have spider legs when running.

All black men have hairy pubes. Not all black men have hairy chests and bellies. In fact, a large proportion of us do not have hairy chests and pubes.

Many black men shave their pubes as it is what they see in black and interracial porn (it's why I did it up until a few years ago). Shaving can be more comfortable, makes everything look bigger and cuts down on manscent. Also, my pubes (When fully grown out) were very coarse and rubbed my ex-wife the wrong way.

Now, I keep my pubes trimmed to about an inch and shave my balls. My partner likes them smooth. To each his own.
