It comes from being circumcised....so yes, most if not all circumcised guys will have hair on the shaft. Some guys still intact, will also have hair on their shaft, but very, very sparse.

I recently noticed I have a bit of hair growing on the underside of my cock. I want to get rid of it but dont want to shave it should I risk the hair coming back even thicker or causing abrasions around the genitals which provide STDs a better chance of being transmitted (Is this still true even if they heal?)

Are their any other possibilities to get rid of these damned hairs other than trimming and shaving ?

My hair is on the underside of the shaft. Nothing on the top of it. It does not go the whole way up though.
