As a guy who has been involved in a number of relationships, I have seen some diversity in the female orgasmic responses, but I have not been with tons of ladies, so I was curious if my experience was typical.

I'd would say about 90% of the women I have been with have multiple orgasms. They start off within a few minutes of intercourse and just keep coming every couple minutes or so, give or take. The orgasms vary. With some women they are all at the same level of intensity. With others, the orgasms get more intense with each new one that comes.

About 5% have only one orgasm. It doesn't necessarily take longer; it varies from 2-15 minutes of sexual activity to get there. They just want to stop after the one orgasm and don't seem to show signs of building up to another one. Also, they often like a lot of clitoral stimulation.

Another 5% don't have orgasms at all, regardless of how long the sexual activity goes on, 30-60 minutes or more. Eventually, we just sort of stop. These women were all taking antidepressants, so that might have something to do with it?

I would be interested to know what the experiences female readers have had has been with their own orgasms??

Your numbers are way off, dude, at least for women as a whole.

From everything I've read, what Dr. Drew says here aligns with what seems to be typical:

"50-60% of women will never have an orgasm via intercourse and will require clitoral stimulation to climax. 30% of women will have a reliable orgasm with intercourse. 10% of women will orgasm with intercourse and could possibly have sequential orgasms. 5% of women have true multiple orgasms only through intercourse and these women typically find oral sex uncomfortable."

I love how men come into the women's issues forums, make some random statement disguised as a question completely separated from fact, and then expect us to respond with anything but derision and frustration.

The vibe I get from the men who post in this forum is continually "You're not good enough if you're not a porn sex goddess. Please feed my jackoff fantasies, my sex-god fantasies, and no matter what, don't ever act like a real human being or I might lose my boner."

Whatever.

I can have multiple continuous orgasms from vaginal penetration with either fingers or cock. It almost always involves squirting though. It starts with one, then another, building up until it's eventually one big long orgasm session. An LPSG member I met up with can verify this too :)

I can have multiple orgasms via vaginal intercourse, but I cannot say that is without clitoral stimulation. My favorite positions are ones where I'll get clitoral stimulation during vaginal intercourse.

95% of the women had orgasms...I wish it was that easy

Thanks for providing this link. I wish Dr. Drew provided references upon which these percentages were based.

I found the information interesting because it very closely approximates my own experience with women, which always seemed to differ with factoids floating around the press and web.

I have not had sex with hundreds of women. I have been monogamous for over 30 years so I have been out of circulation for a long time. Before marriage, I had around 15 other female partners, besides my wife. A few were one night stands, but for the most part these were sexual relationships that lasted at least a few months, and some for years, so that I got to know these women, what worked best for us as a couple, and whether or not they were having orgasms during intercourse. Of course, I accept the possibility that I could have been deceived a few times by women faking orgasm.

My experience, for what it is worth, is that exactly half of these women (50%) appeared to at least sometimes have orgasms with vaginal intercourse without direct clitoral stimulation. By direct clitoral stimulation, I mean digital stimulation or stimulation with a vibrator. In most cases, they seemed to need close pelvic contact along with deep vaginal penetration to climax, so I'm sure that indirect clitoral stimulation played a role in some, if not all.

Fifty percent is a lot higher than some of the figures one finds on the internet where quite a few authorities maintain that as few as 10% of women are able to orgasm without direct clitoral stimulation but it corresponds exactly to what Dr. Drew says.

I had 4 lovers (25%) who came nearly every time we had vaginal intercourse. My wife does so only occasionally, although she is quite orgasmic with oral sex and occasionally with digital stimulation. My wife does sometimes have multiple orgasms, typically a "vaginal" orgasm following one or more from oral sex, but not very frequently. This pretty closely corresponds to the 30% figure given by Dr. Drew.

I did have one lover (6%) who frequently had multiple orgasms with vaginal intercourse. Interestingly, she indeed could not tolerate direct clitoral stimulation either digital or oral. Dr. Drew quotes a figure of 5% for women who share these characteristics.

This thread makes me feel inferior or incomplete because I don't think I've ever had multiple orgasms. But I would take that single mind-blowing all-encompassing slap-him-on-the-head-to-make-him-stop orgasm anytime.

Thanks for the replies. This clears up a lot of my questions. I have had between 30-40 lovers, but that's not too terribly difficult if you live long enough and stay sexually active, as have I. The years just add up...

I didn't phase my question very rigorously. I was just thinking about women who have more than one orgasm during a single session of making love. Also, there is always a LOT of foreplay including clitoral stimulation.

I'm not some kind of lovemaking god, and it's not a competition. It's about passion and connection between two people. Some women had multiple orgasms and some had none; sometimes I had an orgasm and sometimes I didn't -- but we all had a good time making love regardless.

I was just curious to hear the female perspective.

About 5% have only one orgasm. *snip*

Another 5% don't have orgasms at all,*snip*

If 5% of your sexual partners can be referred to in the plural then you have slept with a minimum of 40 women, correct?

I have had between 30-40 lovers,

Your maths is poor. If 5% = women (plural, i.e. at least 2) then you must have had 40 or more lovers. And yet you say you have had less than 40.
