...Wondering what some of you guys do with them - try to hide your erection? Will it away? Flaunt what nature gave you? This stems from a recent experience I had, on a week-long cruise through the Caribbean. The destinations aren't important in this, just the episodes in the men's locker room, and its connecting steam room and sauna.

I found a lot of men swathing themselves in their towels, seemingly afraid to allow anyone to see a thigh, much less a dick - some even wore swimtrunks beneath, as they sweated themselves in the steamroom. I kept a towel around my waist when walking from one to another, but in the steam room I sat on my towel and just relaxed; not cruising, but with my thighs spread, and my groin exposed. I just posted on this topic yesterday on another thread (Do straight guys mind…). I’ve been in a lot of saunas/steam rooms and there’s some variation, but here’s what I think is general sauna etiquette: 1) Yes, you can sit on a towel and show your dick just like you did; 2) You can let it start to get a little bigger—so it doesn’t look shriveled up (obviously not a problem for you—I saw the pic in your profile-- or for most of us here for that matter)—so showing it semi-hard is fine as long as it doesn’t stand up, 3) a full raging boner is not OK—get to the showers (you can come back). Since I’m kind of an exhibitionist, I may push the envelope a little. As I mentioned yesterday, I’ve seen several guys sprout wood in the sauna and they quickly cover with a towel while trying to figure out whether it will go down or if they should head for the shower and hope they don’t meet anyone on the way.

And yeah, I’ve been more conservative clubs where the guys wear swim trunks and towels—I still sit there nude, maybe getting a look or two. On the other hand, I’ve been to clubs where the atmosphere is so relaxed that guys sit around the lounge area in the men’s locker room on couches nude watching TV. (No boners—they’re watching sports, not porn).

You mentioned boners in the shower. I’ve seen guys leave the shower curtain open and soap themselves up and stand there stickin straight out—Not even I am that much of an exhibitionist! (Well, not usually) That kind of thing doesn’t go over well. First of all, most guys think you should close the shower curtain—otherwise it’s a little too gay. If it’s a gang shower the same rules apply as in the sauna. OMG I just remembered a shower/boner incident that happened to me—I’ll have to tell you about it another time.

I am a member of the local YMCA and always make a point of going in the sauna after a workout. It's rare that any of the guys wear anything in the sauna, steam room or hot tub and erections are fairly common especially with the 5pm crowd. I really depends on my mood, and who's in the lockeroom/showers/sauna. There have been times where I have let it hang out completely exposed and not cared. While I don't particularly think of myself as an exhibitionist, I must admit that I rarely wear a towel or cover myself at all once I cross the lockerroom threshhold. I've over the years found two gyms that seem to have a very relaxed mood in the lockerroom and it is very rare to see a guy in a towel in either of them, one, as one guy mentioned above, having as many of 10 or 15 guys (during busy times) standing/sitting around naked watching news or sports on the tv. Most of us will relax for a while naked just to get thoroughly dry and cooled down before dressing. I agree on that. Who brings children to come work out with them? I think that the father was more uncomfortable than the kid was. Better to know what other guys dicks look like anyway. It was a men&#39;s lockerroom at that. It wasn&#39;t like you were lounging nude at their home. I used to workout at Gold&#39;s Gym in Asheville.
