Just a couple of days ago, I found a pea-size lump on my scrotum on the right side. It's the same color as my skin there and I only feel something if I squeeze it, but it doesn't hurt. It's not bothering me or anything right now. Does anyone know what it could be?

Yes, see a doc. I had a small-pimple, on my nutsack, and it was like a pimple. I drained it, and no problem. See a doctor, especially if it is, well, of a size that ain't a pimple/in-grown hair/etc.

The pea sized growth is really not the problem. There are many causes for these on the skin of the scrotum. There is no situation period where this kind of thing should be ignored. Rarely do these turn out to be anything serious, but they can be markers for other things.

What I am saying is to get your scrotum with you attached to it to an MD as soon as is possible anyway. Anytime a malignancy is even possible you get to a doctor because early diagnosis and treatment is the key to health and survival.

One of the very worst forms of cancer is one called adenocarcinoma. This is a hormone dependent tumor. It is very unlkely that one would show up in this way, but it is not worth taking the chance. If it is simple it will be removed quickly and easily and you'll put it in your past. If not, odds are you've caught it very early and this is a very good thing.

Like Hamadin said, if its just on the skin its probably no big deal.

It actually sounds like a sebaceous cyst to me. I had one on my scrotum like 2 years ago. I just went to the urologist and had it cut out. They just gave me a valium and It was done within like 5 mins, didn't hurt at all.

Take no chances...

What they DEFINITELY WON'T say is: 'why are you wasting my time?'

Fingers crossed for you.

First you need to be respected for paying attention to any differences on your body, especially in that area. I would be willling to say you are one the does self exams every so often on the testes. That lump sounds like something I had on mine, but figured it as bad in grown hair or something. I monitored it a few days to a week nothing changed with it, so I called the doctor and he thought it might be a cyst, from the sounds of it, told me to stop by the office and he or his assistant would check out. He zapped it off carefully and noticed some other things that I passed off as frickles , but raised took those off iin area near by. Told him I was concerned I may caused the problem with shaving there. He didn't think that all. He goes in fact you probally are more in tuned to what is there and what shouldn't be, that the non shavers never might be. So get it checked out at your doctor, or specialist.

As I work in a large cancer hospital, I would suggest you get to a doctor to determine what it is and if needed to determine what treatment is needed, if any.
