Ok, I'll admit it. This topic "crotch watching" was lifted from a very good post I read titled,"str8 men gay porn." It appears that gay porn is not the only thing watched by a large number of str8 men.

I have noticed that male crotches are also a popular focal point for str8 men as well as women. I know it’s not just me but I am constantly watched while walking or jogging. At first, this used to really bug. I mean how persistent and sneaking folx are with this.

I guess the implications in their narrow minds were that if they are caught watching they would be considered gay (as if admiring someone’s package make you gay). The reality is that caught or not they are watching.

Now, I see it as a reflection of curiosity more than anything else. So, I just acknowledge that its pretty common and go about my business. Any thoughts on this???

Ehh...these kinds of posts get old to me. My stance is always thus:

Yes, it is curiousity. No, a look/stare does not mean the person is gay. Yes, it can mean that, but it's not definite. No, curiousity does not equate to homosexuality. Yes, curiosity may infer repressed sexuality, but that's a slippery slope arguement. No, it doesn't really matter what I say anyway.

    Check please?

I know it's curiosity and that a look/stare does not mean the person is gay. I am not agreeing with any of the stated ideas but simply pointing them out as rationales for some of the "thinking" related to this topic.

It is fortunate that there are so many other ppl on this site so that certain posts won't get too old.

When i got to CA, a bud warned me not to freak when all the guys jogging or on the beach checked me out-- top to bottom: said they were just checking out the competition. Luved it!

As a straight, 25 year old male, here is my opinion. These "crotch watchers" are just comparing themselves to you. Some may be envious. It does not mean they are gay. You should be flattered and proud of what you have. I would do anything to be hung like you.

A lot of men are fascinated by cock size.

There are men who label themselves as gay who are not at all interested in cock size. There are men who label themselves as straight who have a cock size fetish. Cock size fetish doesn't seem to know any sexual orientation.

In the late 80s I spent a lot of time at nudist/naturist resorts and camps. Cap d'Agde is amazing and I visited three times. I kept noticing that my cock seemed to attract an equal amount of long glances from presumably straight men-- men accompanied by girlfriends or wives-- as from gay ones. Women seem much less inclined to sneak a peek.

Which leads to the question of porn tastes. If straight guys were not aroused by big hard cocks, girl/girl porn would occupy a much larger niche than it does. But obviously their arousal is combined with an inhibition that says look but don't touch. I assume they are identifying with the fucking guy with the big dick, the same way I identify with the lucky lady receiving it when I watch straight porn.

That or people who are fascinated by cock size are sometimes unsure or unaware of their orientation.

I am sure of my sexual orientation but I have to admit that I have been checking more guy's bulges out since joining LPSG - for comparison reasons!
I see how big mine is in the mirror but it just seems normal to me so if someone has a noticable bulge, it makes me wonder if mine looks equally as big.

When I see my reflection in shop front, mirrored windows, sometimes I do surprise myself by it's very noticable size  .

I suppose if it's big enough to notice, people will notice it and look, regardless of sexual orientation.

For sure if it is a 'look at me' bulge, most of us will look at it...str8 or not..it's just beautiful the way it is presented...just like a fluffly cute thing that invites the eyes to feel the tenderness and etc...just like some women breasts..it feel full, soft, cozy, inviting, 'sitting' there all confy and etc..

Than for me is not because is just big but soft and the balls must the one big and not the penis..

I've never 'watched' another guy's crotch, mainly because I couldn't handle the possible repercussions of getting caught. If I notice a guy staring at me, I'd laugh it off, maybe even be a little flattered, but round my neck of the woods, I can't be sure another would feel the same if he caught my eyes wandering. It's not that I fear or care about being perceived as gay, I fear that little 130 pound me is gonna get his ass kicked again. I certainly don't need that right now...

I use porn and lpsg to see how I measure up against the rest of the world (probably not a good sample population but what-ev ), and even then, it's not for any sort of sexual gratification, just that competitive male instinct rearing its ugly head again.

btw, in day to day life I wear rather tight underwear and baggy clothes and, when coupled with the ipod/cell phone in my pockets, I show no indication of my size at all. I'm also a 'grower' with relatively tiny balls. Yet some would say I am hung - my point being that crotch watching is far from the most accurate way to tell a guys size anyways.

My buddy at work was sitting on a desk talking to a few of us. I looked at his crotch and was perplexed. He is a pretty big guy all over. His pants were a bit too tight. He had hardly a bulge in his pants. Poor Guy.

Most str8 guys are very competitive, it's their healthy nature. When they check out eachother's equipment, it's NOT because they want to have sex...just natural male sizing up of the competition.

I do find myself checking out bulges in bike shorts and underwear ads, and I'm straight. ?? Rather than worry about it I just accept it, althoug in the past I thought it was odd for me to like that. Any other straight guys who find themselves checking out bulges instead of just noticing they're being checked out by others?

I have heard check out guys to see what underwear he is wearing, men check out other bugle. Some guys I have check out passed me and look down to see if their fly are down and continue to walk. My pants created a good bugle and I have notice co-workers ladies and men checking me out..sometimes I move to the side if it too obovious.

Even I am not as big as most of the guys here, I naturally "dress to the left" and sometimes with some jeans or baggies you can see a bulge between my legs and I have seen a lot of people staring but as most of you guys think I also think they are noy gay just because they take a look, even at the gym showers they are just comparing their equipment to yours. But as the English teacher I am I have to be careful not to show at school since my students are teenagers and I think it would not be appropiate not to take care of a situation like this, when i am out of the school i can wear anything and not caring if anyone sees my bulge.

I feel that the fear of being perceived as gay gets the better of us str8 men. Let's face it...we walk around and see people. Both men and women. We look at peoples attire. Depending on whom you are looking at, as competitve men, you may think to yourself "is he packing as much as I am" If he's sporting a bulge, you may even wonder quicker. We look at people all day long.

perfect example, you see a guy walking towards you with his zipper down. As str8 men, instead of leting the guy know so he can zip up his pants, we let him keep walking for fear of him or others wondering why was he looking at my crotch. Stupid?

When I see musclemen or even those super good looking guy, I take a quick look and wonder. Not because I want to suck his cock etc. But you wonder if it's a total package along with the looks or muscle.

    Men will always be competitive

I think guys straight and gay check out crotches, and some don't. In general it just seems to be one of those things guys are curious about. And if your showing as the poster of this thread does people get more curious. They wonder if it real, is it a hard-on etc. Shit I have even had guys follow me into washrooms.

Some of my buddies have fessed to checking out crotches, or at least they did of me, but didn't obsece about it. Although, they did wonder how big I was. I think it is just a guy thing, and no big deal.
