I wonder what the long term danger is to your liver and kidneys with all this stuff?

As bad as it sounds and I would have believed it too until I was taught how to properly do it, there is very little pain in giving one's self an intracavernosal injection. This is done with a spring loaded injection device and the device makes it very easy and relatively painless.

It must be a bit psychologically un-nerving though(?) I suppose not once you get used to it...

Surprisingly the first few times are a stressful time. After one knows what to do and what to expect the injecting device makes it easy. I can do it without the device, but using the device is far easier. What you do is to load an insulin syringe with your measured dosage. The syringe is then placed inside a spring loaded device. You place the device appropriately by location for the needle of the syringe to penetrate into the corpora cavernosa or "erectile chamber" as the needle is fired by the spring through the soft tissue. After the needle enters which is surprisingly painless you push the plunger of the syringe and inject it's contents. The erection depending on your tolerance to the mix will begin anywhere from 90 seconds to about 5 minutes after the injection. The strength of the erection can be varied by the composition of the mixture ingredients. As you gain experience you can vary the erection time according to how much time you have with your sex partner. The injectable mixes are localized to the penis itself and very little of the drugs go systemic. The orals do go systemic and because of the losses in the digestive tract the actual drug dosage is quite different from what reaches the penis.

Sildenafil Citrate can be made as an injectable. Normal oral dosages of Sildenafil Citrate (Viagra) are 50-100 mg. When made as an injectable it can be effective with less than 1 mg.

The reason that Sildenafil Citrate never caught on in injectable form was that there is far more profit in the mixes.

Out of curiosity, can I ask: Is someone unable to NOT be erect after the injection? i.e. Does it work like viagra or cialis would where it helps facilitate rather than always-create an erection or is it basically a situation where once you make the injection you will be erect until the drugs wear off?

Absolutely you can ask. The injection creates under the most basic of terms a drug induced state of priapism which is controlled by the life of the drug in the localized area. When I underwent medical examinations for this years ago, I was told that about 10% would not respond to injection therapy. In most cases I was left with the impression that those individuals simply had a tolerance or resistance to the most active ingredient in the injectables which is basically Prostaglandin E-1. That means that it will work in 90% of all who are tested for it's usage. I have several oral things I can do that will work but my preference is the injectable any day. It is reliable for the most part and as long as the injection is done properly the odds of it working are pretty good. The flaw in the injectables however is that virtually everyone who uses them builds over time a tolerance or resistance to them. You may start out with an effective dosage measured on an insulin syringe at just for example 10 units, but as you continue this the dosage required to achieve the same result goes up. After a year it may take as an example 30 units to achieve an erection of the same quality and duration. Then one has to take a rest for several months and when they do the tolerance begins to subside and the effective dosage can be reduced again. The rate at which one builds a tolerance to the drug or drugs contained in these mixes varies by the individual. This one definitely requires good medical instruction and knowledge to do it safely and it also requires the knowledge to deal with a real priapism or it getting "stuck" in an erect state. I have had zero problems with that but I have far above average knowledge in this area and know all of the things to do.
