I believe that they're to keep a guy hard once he's hard and to prolong sexual intercourse if he's a minute man.
For me, they're a combination of belt and bikini. I wear them as a swimsuit whenever possible, they are mainly to sustain a certain amount of sensation which then is always at the ready for further space-devouring.

Just to enlighten you retracted, A cock ring does not create an erection. A man must first have an erection for the cock ring to function. To the OP, I think you've seen a range of answers. For some, a cockring is an adornment -- to some it looks good, and exciting. For others, it provides it's own sensation, maybe some enhanced size when only semi-erect (as under speedos).
