A growing ... community #3

Obviously I couldn't wait to go back to that gym. That place is the best gym I've ever gone to.
My uncle told me that the second one they opened, although very similar in shape and layout as the first one, was far from being as laid back as this one. Basically, it was the crowd that made it the way it is.
Neither my uncle nor my cousin know more than 10% of their customers by name, there are simply too many of them but I assumed they did given the number of "clean" (that is cut and pierced) guys I see every time I go there.
Being cut is rare in Europe and being pierced is rare almost everywhere in the world. My extended family being both very large and from that specific area where my parents live, if you add all the people whom I'm not blood related to but also embrace the same lifestyle, I thought all these guys I saw at the gym were either distant relatives or affiliated. I have many female cousins who married guys who did not grow up with that tradition but got cut and pierced afterwards because their wives asked them to. So if you count them as well, it was kid of possible that my uncle would at least know their names.
I was wrong and I also realised that although these guys may look like they belong to the same cultural sphere as my family, actually they don't.

It so happens that a large part of these guys are just guys who have seen it on other dudes and thought it was cool. They're not as open to talk about it as we are, which shows that they've definitely not the same outlook on it. If they did, it would have been very easy to me to take about it with them while in the steam room or in the jacuzzi. I was literally dying to know more about how they ended up making that decision but the only testimony I could get came from hearing bits of conversations I was part of.

Once, for instance, I heard a group of high school guys talking about it while showering next to me. There were five of them, only one was uncut and had no piercing and he was talking about his parents not wanting him to get neither of those. One of the pierced and cut ones was actually already cut and got pierced without asking his parents. Another one had an older bother who did not have to ask permission to do it and then the parents just agreed to let him do it as well. The first one who got it done, the one who basically launched the trend in this friend group, got it as a gift for his 15th birthday. Apparently his dad wanted to get one and just openly said it to everyone in the family (instead of lying about why he was going to the hospital) and offered all his sons the same, they all agreed and got it done the same week.
At some point I was dying of curiosity so I had to walk up to them and ask why they had decided to do that. They all said that they did it because they think girls like it and because they think it looks better. They did not have very big piercings though, just a tiny little ring at the tip. I asked them if it was common amongst their peers and they said that, besides the five of them, they knew at least 10 other guys their age or around who either were cut and pierced or wanted to get it done.

Other than that I really felt like this was the elephant in the room. I literally found myself showering next to 5 other guys, two or three of them being obviously cut and pierced while the other ones were very much intact and no one had anything to say. No one also talked about the very young ones who had obviously been snipped and pierced as infants. That was in complete contrast with the glances and sometimes questions I would get back in my younger days and that made me avoid locker rooms for years.
That and the fact that everyone seems to go to the same doctor and get the same cut. A kind of half low half high tight cut with one and a half centimetre of inner foreskin left but really tight with no folds behind the head, even soft. That surgeon must be rich.
