a normal afternoon in the gym

Yesterday I was at my gym. After a workout I had been to the sauna and was relaxing. The sauna is a mixed one, but there are hours only for females and hours only for men. I don’t mind the mixed hours but at the moment I was there it was only open for men. I think there where between 20 and 25 men, young and older. Like in most saunas in The Netherlands rule is that you are totally nude. You use a towel to sit on and to dry after a cold bath or a shower, but you lay on a relax chair naked.
I do this for many year now and I have seen a lot of people around, also people I see in the shopping mall or at my work. I never saw men showering while stroking to get an erection. Of course I have seen semi erections and full erections but most of the time these men tried to hide if for others.
If I read posts on LPSG about this subject it is as if in American locker rooms, showers and saunas every guy is trying to make it a sexual thing. Yesterday, when I was relaxing, I thought that I like the environment of this gym and sauna because I feel free. A naked person is a person and not a sex object. Is there so much difference between US and The Netherlands? I can’t believe that.
Many LPSG members write down their fantasy I think. It has nothing to do with reality.

American repressive sense of morality is the foundation for the irrational reporting of locker room norms. Many of us confuse nakedness with eroticism, and perpetuate our immature thinking.
